September 23 20062006-09-23A framed photograph labelled "PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA" sits on a gold-and-maroon throne-style seat. The portrait shows a seated figure in orange-saffron robes with a white beaded necklace, hands in a blessing gesture, with a tree-root backdrop. In front of the frame hangs a long garland of white jasmine and red flowers with green beads, draped over a brass kalasha or lamp set on a plate of white petals and orange marigolds. A black staff leans beside the throne. The portrait is a depiction, not a person physically present.2012-12-16April 07 20122012-04-07A worship altar set up against a white wall. A large framed portrait in a red and gold-bordered cloth is draped with a garland of white jasmine, green leaves and red roses; it shows a seated man in orange robes against a tree-trunk backdrop, with a red forehead mark and a mala. Beside it stands a second red-toned print of a figure seated on a gilded throne with lion-shaped armrests, wearing orange robes and a golden halo. In front of the portrait is a white-covered table holding a flower-filled plate on an orange cloth. On the floor mat sit puja items: a brass bell, oil lamps, a brass pot, a plate of pink flowers with two rings, a bowl of white substance, kumkum and a stainless-steel container. No people are visible.2009-07-10April 17 20112011-04-17September 23 20062006-09-23A framed photograph on a gilded altar stand, flanked by brass lamp stands and golden lion-shaped supports. The framed portrait shows a seated figure with long dark hair, wearing an orange robe and a white beaded mala, with one hand raised in blessing. Behind the altar is a large printed backdrop of stone temple pillars among trees. A red cloth sits on the altar, with a garland draped at the frame's top and a small standing figure in orange printed on the backdrop at left. Because the framed portrait shows a long-haired figure in saffron robes and a mala, a Swamiji (probable) depiction is shown here. No people are physically present.2012-01-08A framed portrait of a smiling man with long dark hair, a red bindi and orange saffron robes, raising one hand in blessing, is garlanded with white and red flower strands and set before a bronze deity murti with a green silk cloth draped beneath. Brass oil lamps and yellow and purple flower garlands frame the altar; a banyan-root backdrop appears behind the frame. No physical people are visible. The framed photograph appears to be a depiction of Swamiji (probable) based on the long hair, saffron robe and orange garments, and the page's printed title names him.2007-09-30Indoor shrine on a white-draped table beside a window with iron grilles. Two large framed portraits are garlanded with white jasmine, pink and red flowers and yellow marigold. The right portrait shows a smiling man with long hair in orange robes, a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace, raising one hand, in front of a banyan tree; a caption reads PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA. The centre portrait shows a similar figure in white with a crown-like backdrop, also garlanded. Two brass oil lamps with lit flames, smaller framed photos, a seated brass deity murti and a small orange-clad figurine complete the arrangement, with orange cloth draped at left.2010-01-10April 07 20122012-04-07 +2 copiesA wooden home shrine cabinet against a cream wall holds a printed portrait labelled "PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA" of a seated man in orange robes, with a rudraksha-style beaded necklace, a red bindi and a raised hand, set before a banyan tree trunk. The portrait is garlanded with white flower strands and red roses, with an orange silk cloth draped at its side. Red roses lie on the shrine ledge, with a small brass lamp, a brass bell, a brass oil lamp and a kalasha-like cup on a metal tray in front, and a tissue box, a bottle and a matchbox nearby on the floor.2009-08-20A devotee in orange robes and a white and red flower garland stands at right, holding a brass oil lamp with a lit flame and a bell-handled base, offering it before a framed portrait of a smiling man in orange robes seated in lotus pose with a rudraksha-style garland, one hand raised in blessing. The portrait is labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" and is garlanded with white flowers and red blooms. Beside it, a painted banyan tree backdrop and a dark black pedestal with a fire flame. Below, a figure in red is seated with flowers, and marigold petals are scattered on the floor.2009-11-25
