A green-clad lower seat holds a further figure adorned with a garland and jewelled necklace. Flanking statues wear red turbans and beaded necklaces, one with a tiger-striped garment. Brass oil lamps stand at the sides, and a garland of white flowers hangs over a kalasha-like offering in front. These are statues, not living people, so no physical people are present.2014-09-11August 30 20112011-08-30November 11 20112011-11-11A photograph of a shrine inside a temple-like hall with carved grey stone pillars and an ornate gold arch. Two painted deity figures sit on a green-skirted pedestal: the male figure wears a red turban and holds a trident and a drum, the female figure wears a purple blouse and a jewelled crown and holds a bow. In front is a red-and-gold conical kalasha-like object draped in garlands of yellow, orange, purple and red flowers, with a jewelled necklace and a hanging fringe of green stones. Brass oil lamps stand on either side. At the right, a figure in a red-and-orange garment with long dark hair stands in a gold-framed niche with a saffron curtain. No physical people are visible in the scene.2013-02-20September 25 20132013-09-25A carved temple shrine showing a multi-figure deity murti in a gilded arched niche with a green draped backdrop. The central figure wears a red and gold turban with a crescent ornament and holds a trident in one hand, seated beside a female figure in a magenta blouse and green skirt with flower garlands. Brass oil lamps stand on either side, and a seated figure in orange and a row of garlands sits on a striped cloth before a kalasha-like decorated object. Two standing attendant statues in red and ornate necklaces flank the niche. The figures are statues, not living people, and no portrait of a person is present.2014-09-11October 14 20112011-10-14A photograph of a temple shrine with a golden arched frame and a teal curtain behind a central pair of large deity murtis, the left one with four arms holding a trident and an orange turban and orange drape, the right one with a crown and a purple-blue garment. Both are garlanded with red and white flower malas. In front, a smaller golden figure in yellow and white garments sits on a seat decorated with a flower garland, with a kalasha and brass oil lamps nearby. To the right, a standing golden-yellow statue in a yellow wrap with an orange-yellow turban and a rudraksha-style mala stands in a green-curtained niche. A small seated statue in yellow also appears at lower left. No living people are visible.2011-08-19 +2 copiesA temple sanctum with a golden arched niche framing two large decorated deity figures in saffron and yellow drapery. The central figure wears an orange turban with a fan-shaped headdress, a heavy gold necklace and a pink-and-red garland, and holds a staff. The figure beside it wears a crown-like headdress, a long flower garland and gold jewellery. A purple-draped seated figure with a garland of pink flowers and a silver mask-like face sits in front. To the right, a small statue in a green-curtained niche wears a purple robe and garland. Brass oil lamps, kalasha vessels and brass bowls sit on the altar in the foreground. Several large physical people are not visible; the scene contains statues only, so no physical people are present. Ritual decoration in a temple setting, consistent with puja arrangements.2011-11-24September 07 20112011-09-07
