July 14 20092009-07-14A photograph inside a stone temple hall with carved pillars and a row of metal railings holding small lamps or lit offerings along the wall. A man in a long-haired, orange-saffron dhoti and shawl walks barefoot at the right, with a white tilak on his forehead and long dark hair swept back, the most prominent figure in the frame; the appearance cues are a long swept-back hairstyle and saffron clothing, which is consistent with a candidate for the a person label, but not enough to confirm identity. Beside him, another man in saffron walks ahead at left, and a third man in white dhoti with an orange shawl and rudraksha mala walks in the middle. Behind them, devotees in white shirts, a woman in a green sari and an older man stand in a procession line.2009-01-29Night procession through a dimly lit temple corridor lined with large carved stone pillars and sculpted figures. In the centre, a figure with long dark swept-back hair wears a saffron-orange robe and a long dark rudraksha mala, walking barefoot with hands joined in front. Beside and behind, several saffron-robed sannyasis follow, one young sannyasi in orange on the right. A white-clad man with a dark mala and gold wristwatch walks at left, and a man in a striped shirt and white trousers walks beside them. Uniformed security or police personnel in khaki stand nearby, and a few more people are visible in the background.2008-07-28Photograph inside a stone-pillared temple corridor with carved columns and a low ceiling, dimly lit. A man in saffron-orange robes and a gold ceremonial necklace with a large pendant, with long swept-back hair, walks forward smiling, holding a small object in his hand; he is accompanied by others. Two more people in saffron robes walk to his left. Men in white kurta and dhoti walk among them, one wearing a rudraksha mala, and a bare-chested man with a gold chain stands at the right beside a table with flower offerings. Fencing barriers line the path, and a framed sign hangs on a pillar, with a red-and-white striped barrier and a chain of garlands overhead.2009-08-01July 28 20082008-07-28A photograph of a procession walking barefoot through a stone-pillared temple corridor at night. In the centre, a man with long dark hair and a white forehead mark wears a saffron-orange robe and holds his hands together. Around him, men in saffron and orange garments and white dhotis walk alongside, with a man in a white shirt and dhoti and another in a pink shirt behind. Carved granite pillars line the passage, and a metal grille and wooden counter are at the left edge.2009-01-29A photograph inside a dim stone temple hall at night, with a lit doorway and oil lamps glowing in the background. In the centre, a man in a saffron-orange robe with a long rudraksha mala around his neck walks barefoot with palms pressed together in greeting. Two saffron-robed companions in orange shawls walk beside him. Around them, men in white shirts and trousers, a man in a striped shirt, uniformed police or guards, and a woman in a blue patterned sari move through the aisle. The central figure matches the page's appearance cues of saffron clothing and rudraksha beads, but identity cannot be confirmed, so this is marked unsure.2008-07-28July 28 20082008-07-28April 15 20082008-04-15A procession of devotees walks through a stone temple corridor with large pillars and dim lamps, passing a floor decorated with colourful rangoli. In front, a bare-chested man with long dark hair wears a white and yellow flower garland and an orange cloth around his waist, with a pale orange wrap over one shoulder, and is accompanied by people in saffron and orange robes and white dhotis. Several women in orange and red saris carry offerings, and one man in a striped orange shirt walks barefoot among them. The atmosphere is one of temple darshan or puja.2012-10-12A group of people walks barefoot through a long, pillared stone corridor of a temple, with carved columns on both sides and iron railings to the right. In the centre, a man in an orange saffron dhoti and shawl with a white band across his forehead walks forward, and beside him a man in orange robes with a red sash holds a folded white paper. Behind them, several men and women in white dhotis, white shirts and orange or red sashes follow in procession. The floor is worn stone with dark stains, and the scene feels like a padayatra along a temple path.2009-01-29July 28 20082008-07-28
