A crowd of villagers stands in front of a blue-walled temple shrine decorated with hanging mango-leaf and green foliage swags strung across the entrance. A red signboard with white Tamil lettering is mounted above the doorway, flanked by painted deity figures on green and red pillars. In the foreground, women wear saris in teal, white, maroon and blue, some with forehead vibhuti marks and beaded necklaces; men wear white and pale shirts. Orange and red flags hang at the left and right edges, and warm sunlight flares across the scene.

A dense outdoor crowd of devotees gathers in front of a colourfully decorated temple gopuram with a painted deity figure, while banana leaves and strings of green leaves hang overhead. Many women in sarees in yellow, blue, purple and white stand with palms pressed together in prayer, some with vibhuti or kumkum on their foreheads. Men in white shirts and dhotis move among them, and a few hold flowers. Smoke rises from a fire in the background among trees. No single person is clearly identifiable as a person in this crowd.

A dense outdoor street crowd gathers in front of a colourful South Indian temple gopuram, its tiers decorated with painted deity figures, lions and a kalasha-topped spire. A thatched bamboo canopy shades the temple entrance, with mango leaf strings hung across the doorway and a small orange-and-red signboard beside it. Several men in saffron and orange robes stand near the centre, one holding a folded orange cloth, while men in white shirts and dhotis, some with red shawls, press around them. A loudspeaker is mounted on a utility pole, and palm trees and low brick houses line the street under a pale sky.

A large crowd of villagers stands in front of a grey temple-style building with a colourful painted roofline and green signboards on its wall. Women in saris, many in yellow, peach, orange and pink, and children in school uniforms and everyday clothes stand close together with hands folded in a respectful gesture. Several older men in white shirts and dhotis stand toward the back near the entrance. The scene looks like a community gathering at a newly opened centre.

Outdoor scene at a shrine entrance shaded by a red, orange and green patterned canopy with a hanging banana bunch. A crowd of devotees stands close together. In the foreground a man in a white shirt and white dhoti gestures with a phone raised. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands centrally wearing a saffron orange shawl and a rudraksha mala, holding a red and yellow flower garland. Women in saris, one in green and one in teal with a gold necklace, stand nearby, and a girl in white and teal holds a small brass pot with leaves. Behind them is a small temple doorway with an illuminated deity murti inside. Candidate identity is uncertain from appearance alone, so the central man is described by role only.

Women in blue, red and light-blue saris and girls in school uniform carry bowls and stand among the crowd, with thatched huts, palm trees and debris from storm damage visible around them. Bystanders in white shirts and motorcycles are at the left edge.
