Night-time outdoor ritual at a temple-like courtyard with a decorated floral backdrop. A young shaven-headed priest in white dhoti and shawl, wearing rudraksha beads, raises one arm while holding an open book, standing before a large golden deity murti with a crown, raised hand and trident-like staff, draped in a golden-yellow cloth. To the right, women in blue and red saris hold brass plates of offerings and lamps. A tall white-wrapped pillar stands in the foreground, with a small bowl of flowers and kolam designs on the floor. Other attendants in orange and white move about in the background.2011-10-04December 22 20162016-12-22 +1 copiesNight-time homa at an open ashram hall. A large fire burns in a rectangular yellow-painted fire pit in the foreground. Behind it, a figure in an orange-and-white garment stands before a decorated deity murti on a throne, the murti draped in marigold and multicoloured garlands and a saffron cloth. Four men stand to the left in white dhotis with gold borders, wearing rudraksha malas; the foremost wears an orange-red robe with gold border and a rudraksha mala, hands folded in prayer. A standing microphone is near the fire. A decorated side shrine with a garlanded deity on the right, and a ceiling hung with paper decorations.2015-01-03Night-time outdoor ritual photograph at a temple-like pavilion decorated with a golden lion-shaped throne, painted deity figures and a shrine. In the foreground a woman in rust-red clothes with a gold border holds a brass plate with a lit oil lamp and offerings. Beside her a man in a rust-red dhoti and shawl with rudraksha malas and a sandalwood-style tilak smiles and holds a large ceremonial umbrella with a golden fringe. Other men in white dhotis and rust-red garments stand on the steps, some with folded hands, while a row of orange-robed sannyasis stands behind. A flag with a golden emblem flies above. The man with the umbrella has long swept-back hair and a distinctive rudraksha-laden look; this is an appearance-based probable match for a person in a procession-style ritual, though identity is not certain.2015-01-03February 16 20072007-02-16October 16 20102010-10-16 +1 copiesJuly 07 20152015-07-07December 24 20112011-12-24October 21 20152015-10-21 +1 copiesOutdoor temple ritual at dusk under a corrugated metal awning.
