In the foreground a shaven-headed man in an orange-brown saffron robe with a rudraksha mala stands among devotees, while a woman in white kneels with hands in anjali. Around them many people in white dhotis and white saris, some wearing red and saffron shawls, press forward. Most people are women in white saris and white clothing, many wearing orange or red shawls and red-and-white beaded necklaces with ID lanyards. Several have white or ash markings on their foreheads. Behind them, rows of saffron-robed sadhus and monks sit in the background. At the far end, a golden deity murti or figure stands near a decorated altar with orange cloth and a small green tree. The atmosphere is a satsang or gathering at the Kumbh camp.2015-09-11Crowded indoor hall with a concrete floor and white-walled pillars, where many men in white kurta-style clothes and white dhotis mill around. Many devotees fill the room behind them; a girl in a pale green and white sari and a woman in white with a red-beaded necklace take cards from the table. Other attendees wear white, saffron and colourful saris, and some of the crowd is blurred from motion. No clearly identifiable a person is visible.2008-03-28A large seated audience of devotees fills a hall, sitting cross-legged on orange and purple mats in rows facing a raised white stage. Many men wear white shirts and trousers, some with lanyards and name badges; several women wear saris in green, pink, peach and yellow. At the back of the stage, women in white saris move about near a table set with white items, with a small orange cloth and purple-and-blue paper decorations nearby. A camera on a tripod stands at the side of the stage, and a red curtain hangs behind. The scene suggests a satsang or programme gathering.2009-12-24Indoor photo at a decorated shrine area with a golden throne-like seat draped in red and garlanded with flowers, and a patterned hanging behind it. In the foreground, a saffron-robed man with long swept-back hair, rudraksha-style malas and a gold necklace leans forward to touch the head of an older man in white with a saffron shawl, who bows. Beside them, a young man in saffron wears a gold necklace, and a woman in a green patterned sari with glasses stands nearby.
