A bearded man in a saffron-orange robe with an orange shawl stands in the centre, barefoot, at the head of a long double line of people in white dhotis and white kurtas or saris with yellow shawls and yellow sashes. Several participants hold coloured and ornate ceremonial umbrellas on tall poles. Rangoli kolam patterns in white and yellow decorate the ground in front of the line. A cameraman with a shoulder camera stands among the line on the right.
