Indoor satsang-style gathering on a white tiled floor. A man with long dark hair, wearing orange-saffron robes and a rudraksha mala with a gold pendant, sits cross-legged on a red patterned rug in front of an orange draped seat, gesturing with one hand over a metal bowl of food. Around him, seated devotees in orange and saffron robes and shaved heads listen, and women in orange and maroon saris sit on a mat. A bald man in a white shirt and white dhoti sits in the foreground, and a woman in a teal floral sari sits nearby. A framed portrait of a smiling man in a white shirt sits on the orange-draped stand behind the speaker. Banana-leaf plates with food are set on the floor, and a cooler stands to the left.2012-10-12August 09 20092009-08-09A photograph of a padha pooja-style gathering in a bright ashram room with a framed horizontal painting of a crowded temple scene on the wall. A figure with long, swept-back dark hair in an orange sleeveless robe sits cross-legged on a white bolster-covered seat at right, palms pressed together in anjali, with an orange cloth folded beside them. Seated devotees on the floor face him, many with hands folded in prayer; several women wear saris in blue, red, pink, mustard and beige, some with rudraksha-style malas, and men wear white shirts and dhotis. Several hold brass plates with flowers and offerings. Behind, a standing woman in a white sari with green border holds papers, and a garland of orange flowers and green leaves hangs above a doorway at upper right.2010-02-18A photograph of an indoor gurukul session in a hall with pale walls and red-cushioned seats. A figure with long dark hair in an orange-and-gold draped cloth sits on a red cushioned seat at left, gesturing with one hand toward a crowd. A microphone on a stand is in front of the speaker, and a small table holds an orange cup and saucer. Several dozen students sit on the floor in orange and saffron robes, some with shaved heads, one wearing a rudraksha mala. A framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" hangs on the wall behind, showing a smiling figure in an orange turban and robe.2015-06-25A satsang hall with a dark blue curtain backdrop. On a gilded golden throne-style seat behind a wooden lectern sits a man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron robe, seemingly addressing the gathering. Before him, a group sits on an orange cloth: a shaved-headed man in orange robe at left, two men in white dhoti with maroon borders, and several women in white, pink-bordered and yellow saris, with a few hands folded in namaskar. Brass items and a bell sit on the floor at right beside a tray of orange cloth and ritual offerings.2010-10-08A photo of a ritual feeding in a plain cream-walled hall. A seated figure with long dark hair, wearing orange cloth and a beaded necklace, sits on a red and gold cushion behind a small offering plate and a brass tray of food. Standing and kneeling devotees in orange and red saris and saffron dhotis stand around, some holding food. Several seated people on the floor face green leaf plates loaded with food. A framed photograph and a draped cloth stand on a table at the left. A person in a teal sari sits in the lower right. Pale orange and saffron tones dominate the scene.2012-10-12A seated satsang inside a temple room decorated with garlands, a gold-framed deity murti and a large kalasha-like altar. A central man with long swept-back hair wears orange robes, a rudraksha mala and a ceremonial necklace, speaking into a microphone while gesturing with one hand. Around him, several seated devotees in orange and red robes listen; one holds papers and another wears a red garment. A framed portrait garlanded with red and yellow flowers sits on the altar edge, and a black shivalinga-style stone is visible at the right. Swamiji (probable) appears to be the central speaker, based on the long hair, orange robes and rudraksha mala. The people count and setting suggest a discourse or darshan gathering.2007-11-12December 31 20082008-12-31Indoor photo of a seated group on a striped cloth and floor mats during a ritual meal offering. Many people in orange and rust-coloured robes sit in rows, with several holding leaf plates and small bowls. A woman in a rust-red shawl with a rudraksha mala speaks into a microphone in the centre, while a man in white robes stands at right serving food from a tray. Attendants in white garments carry plates and steel vessels along the back, and a large framed painting hangs on the wall above. Petals and banana-leaf plates are scattered on the floor.2016-02-23A seated group of devotees, mostly men with shaved heads, sits on the floor of a white-walled hall in prayer with palms pressed together. Most wear saffron/orange robes and some wear white dhotis and shawls. Banana leaves and small brass cups are set in front of them, and a steel vessel and leafy greens are laid out on a stainless steel table at the back. A few women in orange saris sit at the left, and on the right a man in white with a striped shawl sits beside a leaf plate of food. A red-framed door and a wall-mounted fire extinguisher are visible in the background.2011-03-05July 12 20092009-07-12October 31 20102010-10-31 +1 copies
