Night-time fire ritual on bare ground beneath a thatched shelter of wooden poles and leafy branches. A central figure in an orange-saffron robe sits cross-legged behind a brick-built fire altar, a lit flame burning at its front, with a brass vessel and offerings nearby. Four white-clad men with rudraksha malas around their necks sit behind their own brick platforms, each holding a small lit oil lamp or flame in their hands. A sacred fire ritual is in progress. A dark blue cloth lies on the ground between the groups.

A night photograph of a brick-lined square fire pit burning brightly at the centre, with several people in saffron-orange robes standing around it in the dark. Some hold small offering dishes or vessels toward the fire, and a figure in the middle holds a small object near the flames. Faint petals or flowers lie on the bricks of the pit. The background is almost entirely black, so the figures are only partly lit and their faces are indistinct. The scene suggests a homa or fire ritual.

A night-time outdoor gathering at a dim open hall where many people sit on the ground in white and cream clothing, lit by small oil lamps and flames set on the floor. In the foreground, two figures sit with their backs to the camera: one wears a long pale orange robe and the other a saffron-orange garment with a red shawl over the shoulders, with small fires burning beside them. Further back a standing figure in a dark robe holds a long staff near a row of seated participants. The scene suggests a night ritual or training session, with flames and lamps providing the only light. No face is clearly visible for identification.

Night photograph of a seated meditative or ritual scene beside a row of burning fire pits or flames on the ground. In the centre, a man sits cross-legged on a raised surface wearing a light saffron-coloured cloth with a rudraksha-style necklace. Another seated figure in pale, light-coloured robes sits at the left edge, and a few dim shapes stand in the background. The flames give the scene an orange glow against the dark setting.

A row of rectangular brick fire pits built on bare earth, each holding a burning fire of flames and glowing embers, with scattered green leaves and sticks laid across them. Seated participants in white and light clothing sit behind the fires, some holding brass vessels and offerings, with a small brass bell and lamp near the front pit. This looks like a homa or yagna ritual performed in a line of fire pits. The people are partly out of focus and only some are fully visible, so the count is approximate.

A night-time outdoor photograph of a sacred fire ritual on bare dusty ground. A large bright fire burns at the right, with flames and smoke rising. Scattered across the dark field, several people in white clothes sit cross-legged facing the fire, including a person in the foreground in white with a dark head covering. Small lamps glow faintly on the ground at left, and thin vertical lights stand in the background. No deity murti or a person candidate is clearly visible; the figures are seated devotees taking part in the homa-like fire ceremony.

A night-time outdoor photograph of a sacred fire ritual on bare earth. A large blazing fire pit burns in the right centre, with glowing embers. Several people in white clothing sit on the ground around the scene, some facing the flames. In the foreground at lower left, a person in white with a head covering sits with their back to the camera. At lower right, another person wearing a dark head covering sits near the fire. Thin vertical lights stand in the dark background, and more seated figures in white are faintly visible in the distance.

Night photograph of a homa or fire ritual at a dark outdoor site. Several small fires burn on the ground, with glowing embers and smoke. A seated person in pale white clothing sits cross-legged on a mat at the lower left, facing the fire. A standing person in light robes tends the flames at the centre-right, and another person in pale clothing sits at the right edge. A figure in reddish-orange cloth stands in the background shadow.
