ADIKAILASA on 8/21/20212021-08-21ADIKAILASA on 3/14/20222022-03-14A temple shrine with gilded arches and a red curtain backdrop. A priest with bare upper body and orange cloth wrapped at the waist pours or offers something over a black shivalinga-like stone on a pedestal, held with one hand. Behind him, a large gilded deity murti of a male figure with a trident and a female figure in a red and gold sari sit on a purple-draped throne. Flanking statues include a blue-robed figure with a jeweled necklace on the left and a saint-like figure in red-orange robes with rudraksha beads and a red turban on the right. Brass oil lamps stand on the right, and a small brass pot sits on a side table. Figures are statues, not physical people.2021-08-21A bearded priest with long dark hair, bare-chested and wearing a rudraksha mala and a saffron-orange dhoti, stands at left beside a dark stone shivalingam set on an orange cloth. Behind the lingam, gilded deity murtis wear red and orange silk garments and gold ornaments, framed by an ornate gold arch and purple drapery. Brass pots sit at lower left. The scene suggests a temple abhishekam or puja setting.2021-08-21ADIKAILASA on 8/21/20212021-08-21Inside a richly gilded temple shrine, a bare-chested priest in an orange-red dhoti and sacred thread bends over a black stone shivalingam set on a black peetha, performing abhishekam.
