A carved wooden throne-like seat with a golden canopy and orange marigold garlands sits on a raised platform, with a small low table in front. Brass and gold ceremonial items fill the space: a large brass bowl of yellow flowers, golden peacock and swan figures, golden elephant statues in the foreground, tall brass lamp stands draped with flower garlands, and a golden kalasha-style vessel. Framed portraits hang high on the wall at the top right and top left. A large ornate golden throne-like chair with carved armrests stands in the centre, with a tall gold trident and brass ritual vessels, lamps and kalasha-style pots arranged on low tables and red-cloth platforms. Golden deity murti and decorated shrines are visible on the left under lit panels, and a square raised fire pit or altar lined with gold-coloured blocks sits in the foreground. Visitors in everyday clothes, some in saffron and white, stand behind rope barriers and walk among the displays. The throne is empty, and no individual is clearly identifiable as a person.2016-04-24A decorated temple sanctuary with an elaborate golden shrine at its centre, featuring a deity murti seated on a gilded throne beneath an arched canopy and garlands of white flowers.
