May 18 20122012-05-18Outdoor photograph on a sandy path among a crowd of devotees in white dhotis and shirts. In the foreground an elderly bald man wearing a flower garland and a teal-green shawl over orange cloth walks with his right hand extended. Beside him a younger man in an orange sannyasi-style wrap, with a rudraksha mala and a flower-and-bead garland, walks with a white tilak on his forehead and a small crown-like band of beads on his head. Behind them a man in white bare-chested clothing holds a rudraksha mala and a white-clad figure walks nearby. Onlookers stand with folded hands and some hold red and orange cloth. A banner-like colourful decoration appears at the top right.2012-05-18Outdoor photo on dry, bare ground at a rural site with a low concrete wall and houses behind. A man with long dark hair, bare-chested, wearing an orange saffron dhoti and wrap with a rudraksha mala, walks barefoot at the centre. To his right a man in white shirt and white trousers with a rudraksha mala gestures while speaking. Beside them a priest in white dhoti with gold border and a rudraksha mala stands with hands folded. At right, a man in saffron robe holds a brass tray of yellow flowers. Behind, a group of onlookers in cream and white saris and saffron clothing stands watching, including a woman in an orange shawl and a girl in a teal top.2012-04-02Outdoor photo on a dirt path beside trees and a banana plant during a procession. A central figure in an orange-saffron robe with long dark hair, a white tilak, and an orange-bead mala walks barefoot with hands held together in front. Around him, men in white dhotis and shirts walk, many with shaved heads and white or cream attire. A bare-chested man in a yellow dhoti with a red sash and red beads walks nearby. A young boy in a yellow shirt and dark trousers walks among the group. An older woman in a white sari stands at the right edge. Incense smoke rises at the upper left. The centre figure fits the appearance-based candidate, with long swept hair, saffron robe and bead mala, so the label is a person.2011-01-16A photograph of a walking procession on dry, sandy ground with trees behind. In the centre, a man with long, swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron robe, a rudraksha mala and a vertical marking on his forehead, and walks barefoot-style in sandals. Appearance-based candidate for a person, walking in the procession. To his left, a shaved-headed man in a white dhoti with gold borders and a rudraksha mala walks with bare feet, and to the right another man in a white dhoti with gold borders walks with a mala. Behind them, women in saris of teal, red and green and a girl in a striped top follow in a file, while people in the background walk among the trees.2012-04-02April 02 20122012-04-02June 05 20122012-06-05May 18 20122012-05-18October 02 20112011-10-02Outdoor photo on a dirt path beside trees and a wire fence, with a crowd of men in white dhotis and shirts behind. A central figure in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with long swept-back hair, rudraksha mala beads and bangles, walks barefoot and looks ahead; the appearance cues are distinctive, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) figure in procession. Beside him a man in a white dhoti holds a tray of yellow flowers, and a woman in a blue sari carries a bag. Other devotees in white dhotis, shirts and a red-shirted boy stand around with hands folded, and a stone-coloured jacketed man stands at left. Several people are visible, roughly a dozen.2011-12-09Outdoor procession on bare reddish earth beneath trees. A central man with long, swept-back dark hair wears a draped orange-saffron cloth and a heavy gold ceremonial necklace with crystal beads, walking barefoot. Behind him a younger man in a white shirt and orange shawl holds a silver tray of white and yellow flower petals. Other men in white kurtas and white dhotis with orange shawls follow in the procession.
