2003 -Glimpses From Various ProgramsSeptember 10 20152015-09-10 +1 copiesA seated man with long, swept-back dark hair wears an orange sleeveless garment and sits on a white cushioned seat with palms pressed together in namaskar. Around him, devotees sit on the floor in a room with a wooden display cabinet holding figurines and framed photos, and a staircase at right. Two women in the foreground, one in a white sari and one in an orange-red sari, hold brass trays with oil lamps, flowers and pink petals for a padapuja-style ritual. A cameraman in white with a yellow shawl films at upper right. Marigold garlands hang at top left. Visible physical people number about fifteen. The orange-clad figure has distinctive long hair and orange clothing, so he is a person in person.2010-02-18December 15 20092009-12-15October 11 20102010-10-11A photograph of a padapuja ceremony on a covered veranda with red and white striped walls and a banana plant. A man in an orange robe with a rudraksha mala and long swept-back hair sits with palms pressed together on an ornate gold-and-red throne, and a probable Swamiji candidate is identified by these cues. Around him devotees in white and yellow clothes sit on the floor before silver plates of flowers, fruit and offerings. A woman in a yellow shawl holds a brass vessel and bead strand, and several others in white hold garlands and rosaries.2010-09-13A seated man in orange robes and a white and orange garland sits on a white-draped chair with his palms pressed together in namaskar. Several devotees in white dhotis and shirts kneel on the floor before him, hands folded in prayer, while a devotee in white and yellow sits at left. Silver thalis holding flowers, fruit, and lamps sit near his feet, and a devotee washes or offers at his feet from a bronze tray. A yellow-draped table with flowers and fruit stands behind them beside a red curtain, and a padapuja ritual is being performed. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has long swept-back hair, an orange saffron robe, and a flower garland, and is receiving devotion as the central honoured figure.2010-02-16A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange turban sits in a pink-upholstered armchair with eyes closed, wearing a multicolour flower garland and a rudraksha mala. In front of him on the floor, a brass tray holds flower petals and an incense stick sending up smoke. Three people in white clothes kneel or sit with palms pressed together in namaskar on the left, and a bearded man in white with a small badge on his chest sits with hands folded on the right. A table lamp and blinds are in the background.2003-08-01A seated man in an orange-saffron robe with a rudraksha mala sits eyes-closed on an ornate gold-and-red throne, hands folded, on a stage. Around the throne a group of devotees sits on the floor: a woman in green with palms joined, a man in white with a shaved head and mala, a bare-chested man with white tilak and gold necklaces, and women in yellow and white saris. Silver plates and bowls of offerings are set before them, with two red apples on a side table near the throne. Dark curtains and a projection screen form the backdrop. Visibly a satsang-style ritual gathering with devotional offerings.2010-09-17August 08 20092009-08-08October 18 20102010-10-18 +1 copies2003 -Glimpses From Various Programs
