A fire ritual in a courtyard. A man with long dark hair, white tripundra and red bindi, wearing a saffron-orange shawl, sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions and carved wooden screens behind. A bare-chested, white-dhoti attendant with white body markings and rudraksha beads holds a white cloth or packet above the seated man's head, while a shaved-headed devotee in white dhoti kneels with his back to the camera before a yellow brick fire pit with flames, a brass bowl and pink flower petals. A person in orange robes sits at the right edge and another at the lower left holds a ladle over the fire. The scene reads as a homa or yagna with a sacred fire on a striped floor cloth.
