January 12 20152015-01-12January 12 20152015-01-12A photograph of a decorated ritual procession float, dense with yellow marigold and mixed flower garlands, draped in red and purple cloth and topped by a golden umbrella canopy. Two large deity murtis with painted faces and crowns sit on the float, and a priest in an orange dhoti and bare upper body raises a lit oil lamp toward them. Other priests in white and orange dhotis stand at left, and a smoky, hazy light fills the tent. The scene suggests an aarti before a deity murti on a ratha or palanquin.2015-01-12July 17 20152015-07-17A photograph of a temple ritual: a bare-chested priest with a shaved head and sacred thread stands at the left, extending his right arm to wave a flame toward two blue-faced deity murtis draped in heavy garlands of yellow and red flowers. Marigold and rose petals cover the pedestal, and a red cloth hangs behind the shrine. The image is hazy with smoke or light haze. The priest is the only visible person and his face is not shown, so no identity is attributed.2015-01-12A photograph of a priest performing an aarti before a deity murti decorated with dense garlands of marigolds, jasmine and red roses in a rounded arch frame. The priest, shown bare-chested with a purple cloth wrapped on his head and a rudraksha-style bead bracelet, holds a multi-wick oil lamp with flames rising toward the decorated murti. A second man in a maroon-and-gold shawl stands at the right edge, partly visible. Yellow sunflower-style floral decorations hang above. The murti's face and adornments are partly obscured by the flames and garlands.2018-04-14A decorated ritual pedestal draped with yellow marigold garlands and red flowers holds two painted deity murtis with blue faces and crowns behind it. A priest with bare upper body and a rudraksha-style mala leans in and holds a lit flame over a brass plate, while a second man in beige dhoti and a white garment assists beside the platform. A purple cloth backdrop and ornate framed deity images fill the background.2015-01-12October 19 20152015-10-19February 16 20162016-02-16June 23 20172017-06-23 +1 copiesDecember 04 20142014-12-04April 14 20182018-04-14
