December 17 20112011-12-17December 17 20112011-12-17Night procession at a rathotsavam, with an ornately decorated ratha chariot lit warmly from within, its multicoloured canopy, pillars and fringed banners glowing against the dark sky. A seated deity murti sits under the canopy. Surrounding the chariot, a dense crowd of devotees walks along a dirt path; several people carry saffron and orange flags, and some men in white dhotis and shirts hold flaming torches aloft. A man in an orange t-shirt stands at left, a woman in a green sari and a woman in white cloth are visible in the crowd, and a bald man in white stands at right. No clearly identifiable person in the scene matches a person depiction, so no candidate is noted.2011-12-17Night procession of a richly decorated chariot (ratha) on a dirt road, lit from within, with a deity murti in a canopied shrine with garlands. A crowd of devotees in white and pastel saris and white clothing walks behind, some with hands folded. A small child in an orange striped shirt stands at the left. A corrugated roof and tree stand in the background.2011-12-17December 17 20112011-12-17September 05 20162016-09-05Night procession with a decorated palanquin or ratha carrying a deity murti lit by oil lamps, its canopy covered in colourful embroidered cloth. A man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with rudraksha beads walks ahead of the cart, grasping its side, with his head shaved; he has no visible long hair, crown, or ornate cues to suggest a person, so he is described only as a priest or devotee. Behind him stands a man in white dhoti with a white umbrella held aloft. Devotees in white and orange garments walk alongside, some holding orange flags with emblems, and a woman in a yellow-orange saree stands near the cart. Torches and lamps light the scene against a dark night sky.2011-12-05December 17 20112011-12-17September 05 20162016-09-05Night procession on a gravel path lit by a brightly illuminated temple chariot (ratha) with a tall tiered tower of lamps and coloured lights at its centre. Further along, a figure in a dark garment walks near the chariot. A red, yellow and green canopy edge appears at the left. Dark trees frame the scene.2016-02-21February 21 20162016-02-21Night procession at an ashram path lined with trees and a low stone wall.
