A seated audience fills a hall decorated with yellow marigold garlands strung across the ceiling. At the centre front, a man in a saffron-orange robe and white turban sits on a wooden swing-like seat draped with orange and marigold garlands and red beads. Men in orange and white clothes sit to the left, and women in colourful saris, including blue, yellow and red, sit on the floor in rows below. A white cushioned armchair stands empty on the right beside a red curtain and a vase of flowers. The cushioned armchair and garlanded seat suggest a formal gathering, but the photograph itself does not establish a specific event.December 27 20082008-12-27August 10 20172017-08-10A satsang hall with a raised stage where a figure in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate golden throne with a canopy and red cushions, flanked by flower garlands. Seated on the floor below are rows of devotees in white and cream clothes and orange shawls, some wearing yellow sashes, facing the stage. Colourful hanging fabric panels decorate the ceiling, and a camera on a tripod and a microphone stand are at the right. Several devotees at the front left wear headphones. The scene is a discourse session for ashramites.2008-12-27December 27 20082008-12-27December 27 20082008-12-27 +1 copiesOctober 17 20102010-10-17A satsang hall under a white tent canopy with a stage decorated with marigold and multicolour flower garlands, orange and green draping, and a red and gold throne. A seated figure in blue and white clothing sits on the throne, appearing to be a deity murti or statue rather than a person. Below the stage, a dense audience of mostly children and young people sits on yellow and orange mats, many in white and yellow clothing. On the stage floor, a group of women and girls in white, yellow and red saris and salwar sit or stand in a performance, some with orange shawls. Decorative painted pillars with bird and geometric motifs hang from the tent ceiling.2008-12-27Wide photograph of a large indoor hall with a white tent-style ceiling and hanging decorative panels in red, yellow and blue patterns with tassels. Dozens of devotees sit cross-legged on mats and in white plastic chairs facing a raised stage draped in dark navy and maroon curtains. On the stage, a figure in orange robes sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne beneath a golden canopy, with flower arrangements and balloons nearby. Many seated devotees wear white, orange and yellow garments. A speaker in orange stands at a podium at the left edge, and red petals are scattered on the floor in the foreground. A recognizable a person candidate is visible on the throne, wearing orange robes; the appearance is not distinctive enough for a confident identification.2008-02-14 +1 copiesA large indoor hall filled with seated devotees in white ritual clothes, many with orange or gold-trimmed sashes, facing a raised stage at right. On the golden throne with red cushions sits a person in orange-red robes speaking into a microphone, with a stage light on a stand beside them. Hanging colourful striped banners decorate the white ceiling. Several monks in saffron robes sit near the back of the hall. The overwhelming majority of the crowd is white-clad women and men, with some in orange, and the scene reads as a satsang or discourse session. The seated crowd is large, well over one hundred people.2009-06-21A photograph of a satsang hall with a large audience seated on the floor on colourful striped rugs.
