April 19 20082008-04-19A large crowd of devotees sits under a colourful canopy strung with orange and multicoloured bunting and leafy garlands, with blue and white poles supporting the tent. Most are women in saris and salwar kameez in red, green, yellow, pink, orange and purple, many wearing gold necklaces, while men in white shirts and dhotis sit or stand at the right and rear. A man in white clothes stands at the left edge among others in white. In the foreground a woman in a pink sari sits beside a woman in a teal sari with a beaded handbag, and a man in a checked shirt and white towel over his shoulder sits among the crowd. Many men in white shirts and dhotis, some in orange and purple shirts, and women in colourful saris sit on plastic chairs and bare ground, while others stand further back. The scene suggests a public event, with no visible dais or a person figure clearly identifiable in the frame.2006-11-13A large outdoor event under a white tented canopy, with hundreds of women and some men seated on blue plastic chairs in rows facing a stage at the far left. Many women wear white saris with coloured borders, bright yellow, orange, red and pink garments, and long braided hair; some wear flowers in their hair. Black loudspeakers stand on tall poles at the left, and blue-and-white fabric skirting lines the tent edges. Orange and white marigold garlands hang along the pillars. At the far left, a dim stage area holds a deity murti and an orange-clad figure, too small to read clearly. The crowd is dense and fills the frame.2009-01-01January 12 20072007-01-12Large seated crowd of devotees under a white and maroon tent at an outdoor event.
