May 10 20082008-05-10Indoor stage performance with children and teens at a convention hall. A boy in a red and white striped kurta sits cross-legged in meditation pose at center front, eyes closed, palms together. Behind him four girls stand with hands raised in devotional gesture: one in a pink floral kurta, two in white kurtas and salwar, one in an orange kurta with red pants. A white draped chair stands on a raised platform with a flower arrangement and water bottles on a white-covered table. Orange balloons and gold tinsel drapes decorate the dark backdrop. Two seated children in the foreground, one in an orange cap, watch the stage. A ceiling fan stands beside the platform.2008-05-10May 13 20082008-05-13Children perform on a stage at an indoor event with dark curtains and gold tinsel swags. Five girls in white and pastel outfits gesture with their hands while a boy in a red striped kurta and white pants sits cross-legged in meditation at the front. Behind them a white throne-like seat with orange cushions and a vase of flowers stands on a red-edged dais. Small orange balloons hang from the swag. Several seated children watch from the lower edge of the frame, one wearing an orange cap and another a red tilak.2008-05-10A photograph of a children's gathering in an indoor hall with a concrete floor marked by yellow lines. Thirty or more children sit cross-legged in a circle facing a stage. On the stage, a white throne-style chair sits centre back, flanked by two standing fans and draped yellow and cream cloth decorations with orange balloons. A small decorated figure stands on a white-covered table at left. Two adult women sit near the throne in white and yellow garments. In the foreground centre, a figure in saffron-orange robes sits cross-legged, holding a microphone; the figure's face and appearance are not distinctive enough to confirm identity, so the role is described as a sannyasi-style speaker in orange clothing. Several children wear orange, white and pink outfits.2008-05-10May 13 20082008-05-13A photograph of a children's group activity inside a hall with a concrete floor and decorated pillars. Two women stand at the front: one in a white dress with an orange shawl, the other in a dark patterned sari with a white-blouse trim. Behind them stands a large white-draped chair on a low stage, with a white cloth-covered table, flower vase, orange and white balloons, and a white-draped seat. Other women in saris stand at the back right. Many children wear bright shirts in yellow, orange, blue, and striped colours. No one clearly identifiable as a person is visible; the empty throne-like seat is unoccupied.2008-05-13May 10 20082008-05-10May 13 20082008-05-13A group of women and girls in white clothing performs on a stage in an indoor hall, with a seated audience in front.
