July 03 20102010-07-03A photograph of an indoor hall with a corrugated metal roof and a red carpet runner leading to a raised shrine. At the far end, a seated figure in orange sits on an orange cushioned seat before a decorated deity murti with blue and gold adornments, flanked by colourful garlands and an ornate stone archway. Rows of seated devotees in white clothes sit on the left, and women in saffron, pink and blue saris sit on mats on the right, separated by a metal railing. Several standing attendants in white dhotis and saffron stoles stand near the shrine. The scene resembles a sarvadarshan gathering with the seated orange-clad figure at its centre. The central figure is seated in orange robes at the shrine, but the face is not clearly visible enough to confirm identity, so the appearance is uncertain.2010-07-03 +1 copiesA photograph inside a temple hall with a red carpeted floor and metal railings. Devotees sit on the floor in rows, many in white and red clothes, facing a stage at the far end. On the stage, a large colourful deity murti or decorated figure stands behind a few people in white clothing near the centre. Hanging banners and small pennants decorate the ceiling, and a brass vessel stands near the front. Several seated people are visible at the left side of the hall. The scene is shot from behind the seated crowd.2011-03-03July 03 20102010-07-03A photograph taken from the back of a covered hall looking toward a shrine with a large deity murti dressed in blue and adorned with garlands and a golden arch. A long red carpet runs down the centre aisle between metal railings. Rows of seated devotees in white clothing fill the foreground, and many more sit on the right side wearing saffron, orange, pink and white saris. Several standing priests in white dhotis and orange shawls attend the shrine, and a figure in orange robes sits before the altar, possibly leading the ritual. Overhead are a corrugated roof, fans and wall-mounted speakers. Lit lamps and flower decorations are visible near the altar.2010-07-03 +1 copiesA photograph of a darshan hall with a long red carpet running down the centre between metal railings toward a raised shrine. At the far end, a large deity murti in blue and gold stands before a red drape, decorated with garlands in orange and white. In front of the shrine, a person in saffron-orange robes sits on a raised orange seat while another person in light clothing bends forward toward them. Devotees sit on both sides of the railings, many in white and pastel clothing, and a few standing figures are visible near the back. The setting has a canopy roof, white pillars and trees visible through the open sides.2010-07-03 +1 copiesJuly 03 20102010-07-03Interior of a covered temple hall with a central red carpet aisle leading to an altar. Two saffron-robed figures sit before a golden deity murti with garlands and flowers, pink curtains behind it. Devotees in white clothes sit on the floor on both sides of the aisle, many with hands folded, while others stand near metal railings. Colourful painted pillars with kalasha-like tops line the hall. Partially visible figures in white and a woman in a blue sari stand at the right edge. Overall the scene reads as a darshan or puja gathering.2010-06-18October 30 20102010-10-30 +1 copiesJuly 23 20102010-07-23January 19 20132013-01-19 +2 copies2010 - Photo Album +1 copies
