A temple abhishekam scene in an interior shrine. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a white sacred mark on his forehead and a gold necklace pours liquid from a white vessel over a deity murti decorated with garlands and a yellow cloth. Behind him, two more saffron-robed men stand, one holding a vessel and the other with hands folded in anjali. Gold and black murtis, a black lingam-like pillar, a bronze lion sculpture and a brass lamp stand are visible, with a gold-framed arch and garlands at the top right.2007-11-09May 25 20132013-05-25 +1 copiesA photograph of an abhishekam at a Hindu temple. A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead, wearing orange robes, rudraksha beads and a gold necklace, pours water from a silver vessel over a small golden-and-yellow deity murti decorated with a white and red garland. Two more people in orange robes stand behind him: one with a gold chain and bead garland, one with hands folded in namaste. The taller man with long swept-back hair, a rudraksha-style bead necklace and a saffron wrap holds a ceremonial item near the central figure, while the bald man on the left in orange dhoti and shawl steadies a brass tray. Behind them a gold-clad deity figure with raised hand stands among flower garlands, and a small seated figure in orange with a white mask-like face and garland sits at the lower base. Brass and silver ornaments decorate the altar.2011-12-11March 03 20112011-03-03A photograph inside a marble-floored hall at what appears to be a religious institution. On the right, an elderly bald man with white ash marks on his forehead and arms, wearing a rudraksha mala and gold chain and orange cloth, sits cross-legged on a peach-coloured cushioned dais before a golden ornate chair, with a silver tray holding a bowl, a cup and red fruit before him. Left, a younger man with long hair and orange robes with a gold-edged shawl and a multi-strand gold and bead necklace sits on a golden chair and smiles with hands folded. In the foreground a man in an orange robe with a maroon border prostrates himself on the floor before the dais. A standing man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands in the background beside a wooden door, and an orange banner hangs at the top right.2012-04-11October 17 20092009-10-17A seated man in orange robes and layered garlands of red and white flowers sits on a red throne with gold trim, smiling, while a devotee in white clothes with a yellow shawl bends forward to touch his feet on an orange cushion. Behind them stands a golden deity murti with multiple arms and a kalasha-like altar, framed by red drapery and gold pillars, with brass lamps and an oil lamp on the left. The man on the throne has long dark hair and distinctive orange-and-garland attire, consistent with a person candidate in an honouring ceremony; the image is an in-person scene of padapuja at a temple.2010-06-12April 2008 - Kailaasa In LA EventsA photograph of a man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl standing beside a large golden deity murti dressed in orange silk and elaborate jewelry, holding a long staff.
