Overhead photograph of a ritual arrangement on a white cloth spread on a floor. Rows of small brass bowls, roughly a hundred, hold varied dry substances such as grains, seeds, spices, powders and leaves. To the left, brass plates hold white sweets, cut fruit including bananas, apples, grapes and pineapple, round balls, nuts and coconut. A red cloth lies at the lower left, with a red and white sweet and loose twigs nearby, and a brass lamp appears at the top. No people are visible.

A photograph of a ritual preparation table covered with a red cloth and striped mats. Brass trays are heaped with white grains or puffed rice, each marked with a ring of yellow powder and a small mound at the centre. Rows of small silver-rimmed plates hold dried herbs, roots, seeds, spices, powders and bark pieces. A woven basket holds bundles of dried twigs and sticks. A small brown bottle with a yellow cap sits on one tray. At the top left, a folded red and gold cloth and a green leaf wrapping lie beside steel bowls. No people are visible in the frame.

A photograph of a ritual offering setup on a colourful striped woven mat in a dim interior. Dozens of small brass bowls are arranged in a large triangular pattern filled with grains, seeds, dried leaves, powders and small stones, with a red-powder bowl at the lower left. Trays of dried twigs, white shell-like pieces and yellow grains sit at the left edge, and a wooden stand holds metal vessels and a brass lamp. A figure in orange robes is seated behind the arrangement, with a white-clothed person partly visible at the top left. A rock wall glows warm at the left, and a small clear-glass lamp sits on the floor. Such arrangements suggest a homa or tharpanam offering.

A table laid with a striped woven textile arranged with many woven baskets and plates of offerings. The baskets hold dried leaves and herbs, grains, seeds, rice, roasted nuts, dried fruits, sliced fruit including oranges, apples and bananas, green leafy greens, and a bowl of bananas. Small dark pellets sit on a plate in the upper left, and a silver tray lies at the lower right. No people are visible; the scene looks like a prepared offering or ritual spread.

A photograph of an offerings spread laid on a multicolored striped cloth in pink, purple, teal and green. Many small metal bowls hold ritual materials: red and orange powders, dried leaves, heaps of pink and red flower petals, yellow flowers, white powder, dark brown seeds, dates, dried fruit and nuts, and a pile of brown round items. A metal tray in the lower right holds white and grey chunks. No people are visible; the setup suggests preparation for abhishekam or puja offerings.

A homa fire ritual in progress: a fire burns in a wooden fire pit on a striped multicolour cloth. A priest on the left, bare-backed and wearing white dhoti with white sacred ash markings on his arm and shoulder, tends the fire. Behind the fire, a young man sits cross-legged in white clothes with a bare upper body. Around the fire are many bowls of offering materials: red and orange powders, roasted and dried herbs, bark and seeds, green leaves, rose petals in a metal tray, and white powder. On the right a row of white and silver ritual items stand in trays, and gold-painted deity structure appears behind. Brass pots and ladles sit beside the pit.
