A man in orange robes with a tilak on his forehead and gold necklaces sits on the left, gesturing with his right hand over the pit. Beside him, a man in white dhoti with a yellow shawl and rudraksha mala sits with a kalasha decorated with pink flowers, and a second man in white with yellow shawl and glasses sits next to him. Another man in orange stands in the background at right, with a brass lamp stand visible.2009-09-25A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a matching orange head covering and a gold-bead necklace performs a ritual at a low stone platform decorated with yellow and orange flower garlands and a red flower. He gestures with his right hand over a brass vessel and a silver bowl. Two seated men in white dhotis and yellow shawls sit beside him; one wears a rudraksha mala and tilak, the other sits with eyes lowered. A standing man in orange robes watches in the background, beside a brass lamp stand and green foliage. Multiple ritual items sit on the platform.2009-09-25September 10 20122012-09-10November 29 20112011-11-29Three men sit on a stone platform performing a ritual beside a flame. The man on the left, bare-chested with a reddish-orange dhoti and a rudraksha mala, holds open a book on his lap and has white ash markings on his arms. The middle man wears a white dhoti and a rudraksha mala and sits with his head bowed. The man on the right wears an orange turban, glasses, a white dhoti with gold border, a rudraksha mala and arm bands, with hands joined in prayer. Silver bowls hold yellow flowers and offerings, and a small oil lamp burns nearby. Behind them stands a gilded elephant figure beneath a canopy with garlands and a pink-draped seat.2015-01-03A seated group ritual in an ashram hall. Two monks in saffron-orange robes with red borders and rudraksha malas sit cross-legged on a mat in the foreground. The man on the left, with a grey beard and glasses, holds a small brass lamp with a lit flame; the younger monk on the right, with a shaved head and white tilak marks, holds a lit oil lamp and a brass vessel. Behind them, men in white dhotis and shawls with red borders hold lit lamps. Brass plates with flowers, fruit, rice and kumkum sit on the mat in front, along with a open book. Tripods and equipment are visible at the top left. This is a puja with oil lamps, and the presence of the lamps and offerings suggests an arati or padapuja-style rite.2010-10-16September 11 20162016-09-11Two shaved-headed priests sit cross-legged on a mat in an outdoor ritual setting. The left priest wears a rust-orange dhoti and shawl with rudraksha malas and beaded arm bands, touching his forehead while a small pot of yellow marigold flowers sits before him. The right priest wears white dhoti and an unadorned white wrap with a long rudraksha mala and an orange turban, pressing a hand to his face. Silver bowls, a brass vessel and a golden elephant-shaped stand with garlands in the background suggest a puja or abhishekam; the scene shows no clear a person candidate.2015-01-03
