Its top is a tiered, scalloped copper canopy with a fringe of dark fibrous hair near the peak, and a bright orange-red cloth flutters from a pole beside it, held by orange ropes running down the shaft. The lower shaft is a metal column with embossed floral and rope-pattern bands and a square copper base plate. No people are visible in the frame, so the scene reads as an empty ritual or festival pole rather than a gathering.2009-09-29December 18 20132013-12-18December 11 20112011-12-11March 10 20132013-03-10Upward-angled view of a tall brass flagstaff against a bright white sky. Near the top is a copper or brass ornamental finial with scalloped, scrolled edges and stylized eye-like motifs. Below it, a square mounting plate holds a round ornate knob carved with floral patterns, and the pole beneath has repeated rope-twist bands. Yellow ropes run along the pole, and a dark garland or cord hangs from the mounting plate. No people are visible.2014-10-05May 30 20132013-05-30June 09 20092009-06-09
