A stone temple colonnade with granite pillars and a white-plastered wall, possibly a temple corridor. A green rectangular sign on a pillar in the foreground reads in Tamil and English that photos and videos are not allowed without permission. A small figure in a pink sari stands in the shaded hall, and a seated person in orange clothing rests at left. A gopuram tower with painted sculpted tiers rises in the background against an overcast sky.2008-07-29 +1 copiesAugust 01 2009 - Kalpataru, Thiruvanaikaval, India2009-08-01A sunlit exterior of a South Indian temple complex with a granite pillared mandapa in the foreground and a colourful multi-tiered gopuram tower with painted sculpted figures rising above. Several people stand and walk near the stone pillars, including a man in a white shirt and dark trousers at right and a few devotees in white and pastel clothes near the entrance. A motorbike is parked at the base of the pillars and a white car is partly visible at left. Long iron-barred windows line the white-walled hall at right, with a red and white striped wall beyond. No clearly identifiable person in saffron or ornate ceremonial dress is visible, so no a person candidate is present.2012-07-23July 23 20122012-07-23A photograph in a stone temple courtyard at Thiruvanaikaval, with a row of carved granite pillars under a long colonnade and a gopuram tower with painted colours visible at the upper left. A red metal lamp stand stands in the foreground. Several people in saffron-orange robes walk across the paved courtyard; the foremost figure has long hair and a rudraksha mala and gestures with his right hand, and a man in a saffron wrap walks beside him. Others in white ordinary clothes follow. A woman in a red sari and a man in blue sit on the colonnade steps at left.2009-08-01Empty temple courtyard paved with reddish-brown brick, with a long diagonal crack running across the floor. A row of carved stone pillars with ornate capitals lines the right side under a yellow-ochre wall and terracotta-topped roof. Straight ahead, a stone-walled pavilion with a domed roof leads to a covered hall. In the background rises a tall gopuram tower wrapped in scaffolding, with a smaller ornate shrine tower to the left under a bright sky. A single distant figure in white clothing stands near the pillars on the right. Stone lions or sculptures sit on the roofline.2012-05-22May 22 20122012-05-22February 08 20122012-02-08May 18 20122012-05-18July 13 20092009-07-13February 08 20122012-02-08Wide photograph of an open stone-paved courtyard at a South Indian temple. A tall, white-plastered gopuram (temple tower) with many sculpted tiers rises at the centre-right, with smaller shrine structures to the left, including a domed mandapa with a painted roof and a dark stone shrine. Two figures walk across the paving near the pillared corridor, one in a pink top and another in a light blue garment, and a small group of people in white and orange clothing is visible further back by the gopuram entrance. A woman in red sits near the left shrine. Grey granite walls frame the right side.2007-01-12
