2004 - First Sannyas Deeksha At AdiKailaasa

A night-time aarti at a riverside procession setting, with a large fire flaring upward on the left. A man in saffron-orange robes and a saffron turban, with a long beaded necklace, stands at the left raising a flame-lit lamp toward a pair of seated deity murtis on the right, adorned with garlands and gold and orange cloth. Another saffron-robed man with a long beaded mala and a pendant stands beside them, and a figure in white with a dark shawl stands behind. A tray of marigold garlands sits on a table in front of the deities, and a golden trident stands at the top right. Two additional saffron-robed figures stand in the background. The visible cues on the left figure, including the saffron turban and mala, are consistent with the page's a person reference, but the appearance is not certain enough for a firm identification.

A seated man in saffron-orange robes performs a homa at a brick fire pit, holding a long metal ladle-like implement with a flame rising from it. He wears a rudraksha mala and a gold chain. Beside him, a younger man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits attentively. Offerings are laid out on the left: sliced fruits, apples, a pineapple, lemons, a silver bowl, and flower garlands. Pink flower petals are scattered over the bricks. Behind them, seated devotees in orange, yellow and white clothing watch, and a figure in white moves in the background. A brass lamp stands on the right beside a dark curtain. The scene is a photograph of a fire ritual indoors. Two people are prominent in the foreground, with more visible behind them. The a person cues include saffron robes, a rudraksha mala and gold ornaments on the seated figure performing the fire offering.

A photograph of a homa ritual in a bare hall with pale green walls decorated with green leaf sprigs. A man in orange robes and an orange head wrap stands at left, holding a brass plate of offerings over a flaming fire pit lined with white bricks. Behind the fire, a framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" shows a seated figure in orange with a beaded necklace, garlanded with red and yellow flowers. On a white-draped table sit a blue deity murti and a small red-and-silver figure, flanked by brass oil lamps. Three girls in white dress sit at right, and a seated person in white is partly visible at lower left. Brass vessels, marigold petals and a plate of white powder lie on the floor.

A man in orange robes and an orange turban lights a tall brass oil lamp under an orange canopy decorated with red, blue and yellow medallion patterns. He wears a long multicoloured garland of white, green, pink and purple flowers, a gold necklace, and a red tilak on his forehead. Fruit. The lamp is adorned with white flower strands. The setting is outdoors with plants and a utility pole visible beyond the canopy.

A photograph of a ritual inside a hall with lattice windows. A figure on the left wears an orange turban and orange robes, with white ash markings on the arm and torso, and holds a brass bell while seated before a low platform of sweets or offerings. Beside him, a man in white clothes holds a lit oil lamp on a long stand, with a red-handled ladle and a brass vessel of rose petals near the platform. Devotees in white garments and a woman with a red bindi sit behind them in rows, some with glasses. The lit lamp and bell suggest a puja or homa setting.

A fire ritual in a temple hall. A standing priest in orange robes raises a flaming lamp high with both hands above a brick-lined fire pit. Beside him a kneeling assistant in orange holds a long-handled spoon, and a seated woman in a white sari with a gold border presses her palms together before a tray of fruit, bananas, sweets and flower garlands. Other orange-robed attendants and seated devotees stand and sit along the back wall, beneath a carved stone pillar and a hanging banana plant.

A photograph of a homa ritual in a hall with pale yellow walls. A standing priest in an orange robe and orange head wrap holds a brass lamp with a flame in his right hand, with a bracelet on that wrist. Smoke rises from a brick fire pit with fruit, marigolds and brass vessels in front of him. Behind the fire pit, a white-draped altar holds a small deity murti, brass lamps and a kalasha. A large framed portrait of a seated figure in orange robes with a rudraksha mala, flanked by marigold garlands and greenery, hangs on the back wall. Three or four seated young people in white garments sit on the floor at the right and left edges, with palms joined in one case.
