Close photo of a ritual in progress. On the left, a bare-chested figure with long dark hair and a beard wears a thick garland of red roses, white flowers and green leaves, plus gold earrings, gold armlets and bangles. A man in a white shirt with an orange lanyard and rudraksha mala leans in from the right, holding an orange towel, while another person's hands rest in the foreground. Behind them, rows of brass lamps or kalasha-style vessels glow with small flames, and an orange cloth printed with script drapes the seated figure's lap. Watermarked copyright text overlays the lower right.2016-10-11July 13 20152015-07-13October 11 20162016-10-11A photograph of a ceremonial exchange in a temple-like hall. A bare-chested man on the left with rudraksha malas and beaded bracelets holds out a small folded paper or card, and his hand is reaching toward an outstretched hand on the right, which wears gold bangles and a bracelet. Behind him stands another bare-chested man with rudraksha malas. The background shows a red velvet cushion, an ornate gold-carved throne or pedestal, a red cloth, and a small bottle. The visible men have no clearly distinctive presentation cues beyond malas, so the central figure cannot be confirmed as the a person from appearance.2016-09-28A young child seated cross-legged wears an orange-brown turban, a white and red flower garland, and a gold necklace with round gold beads over a rust-coloured garment. Several people in orange and peach robes surround the child: one at left holds a red plate and applies a red mark, another at right has a pearl necklace and orange shawl, and an elderly bearded man in red cloth sits at lower right. Hands touch the child's head in blessing.2013-02-12A photograph inside a red-draped tent at a religious gathering. A long-haired man in orange ochre robes, with a flower garland and rudraksha mala, sits on a low golden seat and places a yellow-orange cloth or wrap over the head of a bowing man in a white checked shirt. A saffron-robed monk with shaved head and rudraksha bracelets stands at right. Behind them, women in red and orange saris and garlanded devotees watch, and a camera on a tripod is visible at left. Gold ritual vessels and a red offering cloth sit on the altar.2016-04-27September 28 20162016-09-28A seated man in an orange-red turban, orange robes, a red and white flower garland, and layered gold necklaces and gold armlets receives a small object wrapped in purple cloth from a bare-chested man in white and yellow-bordered dhoti. Behind them is a wall of marigolds and red, white and orange flowers. The seated figure has distinctive orange robes, a turban and ceremonial gold necklaces, so a person match is noted, with the receiving figure described as a seated priest in orange. The scene resembles a ritual exchange of an offering during a session.2015-07-13July 07 20142014-07-07 +1 copiesJuly 13 20152015-07-13Indoor photograph of a ceremonial exchange in a hall with beige acoustic panels. On the left, an older man with grey hair and a clean-shaven face wears an orange robe and presses his palms together in greeting. Beside him, a man in an orange shawl and matching orange cloth on his head holds a white card, with a rudraksha mala and white flower garland around his neck. On the right, a bare-chested man in a red-orange turban and orange cloth wraps white and red flower garlands and gold bangles, and reaches toward the card. Behind them, a bald priest in white and a young man in white stand near a basket of yellow flowers and an orange cloth bundle.
