A photograph taken from a vehicle window of a long line of young people in matching maroon and gold-bordered traditional dress standing along a roadside. Several are in dhoti-style garments with gold borders, and girls wear maroon blouses and long maroon skirts with gold trim. Some hold their hands together in front of their chests, and others gesture with their arms. A red car, a white-clad adult and a few onlookers stand at the left edge. Trees, a pale building wall and a paved road with a white edge line fill the background.2011-12-20March 10 20132013-03-10Children in red and orange ceremonial robes with gold borders walk in a line along a dirt path beside green shrubs and a brick wall. The girl in front, in red, smiles with palms pressed together in anjali. Behind her, a girl with rudraksha beads and a forehead tilak walks with hands folded, followed by other children in red and orange, several with white forehead marks and beaded necklaces. The setting appears to be an ashram or gurukul grounds.2013-09-20March 07 20132013-03-07 +1 copiesJune 19 20132013-06-19May 14 20132013-05-14 +1 copiesSeptember 20 20132013-09-20A photograph of a group of young children walking barefoot along a paved road in an ashram setting, with palm trees, greenery and small red-roofed buildings behind them. Many wear maroon kurta-style tunics with gold trim and maroon dhotis, while several boys in saffron-orange robes with gold borders lead the group. One child in saffron holds a tall gold-topped staff aloft, another plays a hand cymbal, a girl carries a drum slung over her shoulder, and others sound conch-like horns or blow into their hands. Their faces bear white and painted markings. Along the roadside, adults in white and small figures stand in the background near a rock pile and a signboard.2013-06-19A procession of young children walking down a paved road lined with palm trees and greenery. Girls and boys wear maroon and gold dress, while several boys in saffron-orange robes walk barefoot, some with shaved heads and white sacred markings on their foreheads. Two boys in the front-right raise long brass horns (ceremonial trumpets), and a girl in maroon carries a drum wrapped in red cloth. A man in white clothing stands in the background near a small red-roofed shrine and a road sign. The scene appears to be an ashram procession, with no identifiable a person visible.2013-06-19November 16 20152015-11-16March 27 20132013-03-27Photo 11734597
