A photograph of an outdoor stage event with a large red backdrop printed with a smiling portrait of a man wearing an orange turban and a red tilak on his forehead. In the foreground a figure in an orange robe and orange turban stands with their back partly turned, wearing a dark beaded mala, facing a man in a white shirt and white dhoti who holds out a small card and gestures with an open hand. Two other men in white stand behind them, and palm fronds are visible at upper left beside a blue metal frame. Orange cloth drapes over a silver-coloured chair at right. The backdrop portrait is a depiction, not a physical person.2010-02-18December 22 20062006-12-22December 22 20062006-12-22A photograph at an outdoor stage event. A woman in saffron-orange robes and an orange head wrap stands at right with her back partly turned, facing two men in white ritual dhotis and shirts at left; one holds a small object. Behind them hangs a large red backdrop with a smiling portrait of a man in an orange turban with a red bindi, and orange-draped chairs with metal frames sit in the foreground beneath palm fronds and a blue tent canopy.2010-02-18June 18 20102010-06-18A seated man in saffron-orange robes with long swept-back dark hair and a rudraksha mala sits on a gilded red-cushioned throne, smiling as an older man in white kurta and white dhoti with a vibhuti mark on his forehead bows and takes objects offered from his hands. Behind them, several saffron-robed monks and white-clad devotees stand, one woman wears a white sari with yellow border, and one monk with folded hands smiles. A carved gold throne back and orange-red wall form the background, with a rudraksha-adorned seated figure.2010-09-20A photograph of a seated figure in an orange sleeveless sannyasi garment with a rudraksha mala draped over the shoulders, receiving a folded paper from an older man standing before him with palms pressed together in greeting. The seated figure has long swept-back dark hair, a tilak on the forehead and a rudraksha mala with a ceremonial gold necklace. He sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne with a red cushion. The standing man wears an orange kurta with a white shawl and wire-rimmed glasses, with a tilak on his forehead. A woman in a red sari and a child in red stand at the left edge. Behind them is a tray of sweets or offerings, a pink wall, and a dark board with white lettering on it. A logo appears in the upper left corner.2010-09-20December 31 20062006-12-31December 31 20062006-12-31November 17 20092009-11-17 +1 copiesPhotograph of a darshan moment on a stage decorated with orange and red marigold garlands and a gilded throne. A seated figure with long dark wavy hair wears a flowing red-orange robe and touches palms with a bald, older man in a white shirt and white dhoti who bows and clasps the seated figure's hands. Two young men in orange robes stand at left, one wearing a rudraksha mala. A white sheet of paper rests on the throne's red cushion. The page indicates the event was a Kalpataru darshan in Chennai; the seated figure appears to match the Swamiji candidate by long hair, red-orange robes and throne, so the identification is probable.2009-02-14A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and a long beaded garland of coloured beads sits on an ornate gold throne with red velvet cushions, in front of a painted backdrop of a large tree. A man in a white shirt and white trousers bends forward with his hands cupped, receiving or offering something to the seated figure, who extends a hand toward him. Standing to the left is a person in orange robes and another in white with a yellow shawl; a woman in a white garment with a yellow shawl stands behind, near a table holding fruit and a water bottle. The ritual appearance suggests a devotee receiving blessings. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has long swept-back hair, orange robes, a beaded mala and a gold throne, which are appearance cues for the page's Swamiji claim.2009-12-16
