Indoor ritual puja on a red carpet under a patterned tent ceiling at night. Three men in white dhotis and kurtas, each wearing white flower garlands and rudraksha malas, sit cross-legged in front of brass lamps, a steel cup, a coconut, fruits, and metal plates of flower petals and rice. The central man, with a short beard and a light beige shawl, bends forward to handle the offerings while the two younger men on either side sit with hands folded or raised in prayer. Behind them, a dozen or more seated devotees in white clothing watch the ceremony, and a woman in an orange sari sits among them. Incense sticks stand in a cup near the brass lamps.2004-01-01January 01 20042004-01-01Photo 11732916 +2 copiesPhoto 11733233 +2 copiesPhoto 11730649 +1 copiesA seated figure in an orange-saffron garment with a matching turban and gold border, wearing a long white flower garland with pink, blue and white accents, holds a silver aarti lamp with a large open flame and performs a fire ritual in a tent-like hall. Two men in white kurtas with rudraksha malas sit nearby, one on the left with folded hands and one on the right holding a small bell. Behind them, a large seated audience in white clothes fills rows of red and white plastic chairs under patterned fabric walls, with an overhead lamp visible. The floor is covered with red and patterned carpets, with flower petals and brass vessels in the foreground.2004-01-01November 25 20142014-11-25 +1 copiesPhoto 117407872013-02-03March 12 20122012-03-12Photo 116856372013-02-10January 11 20132013-01-11January 21 20132013-01-21 +1 copies
