On the left, a bare-chested attendant in an orange dhoti holds a lamp toward a seated figure in red and gold, a deity murti in a gold-and-red seat draped with red and white flower garlands, with an ornate silver throne behind. Seated at right on a leopard-print cushioned silver throne with a silver lion figure beside it is a man with long hair and a red-orange shawl over a white garland, smiling; a trident stands nearby. In front of the murti are brass bowls with offerings and a green cloth. The setting is a stage with red curtains and an air conditioner unit. A seated man in a rust-red robe and matching turban sits on the throne, wearing a white flower garland and a leopard-print cushion beneath him, with a microphone stand beside him. On the right, a standing young man in an orange dhoti and orange shawl, with rudraksha beads and a bare chest, holds a ceremonial white fan or chamara. Behind him is a golden shrine niche with a Ganesha deity murti decorated in red and green garments and a green foliage backdrop. Gilded lion figures flank the throne and pillars, and offerings sit at the lower right.2017-08-24Photo 11716696Photo 11716677A photograph on a stage showing a seated man in a leopard-print throne with ornate silver lion armrests and a silver carved backdrop. He wears a rust-red cloth, a long rudraksha mala, and a forehead tilak, with long hair, and gestures with raised right hand. Two standing attendants in orange cloth with rudraksha malas and white body markings stand to his left; one holds a small white paper or card. A third figure kneels in front with palms joined, bare-chested with white markings, and a small offering plate sits near him. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure matches the presentation cues of long swept-back hair, rudraksha malas and a ceremonial throne, so he is described as the seated teacher receiving devotion.2018-04-01August 24 20172017-08-24November 22 20132013-11-22A man in rust-red robes and a matching red turban sits cross-legged on an ornate gold throne carved with lion heads and a peacock-like crest, its cushions covered in leopard-print fabric. He wears a white flower garland, layered gold necklaces and a rudraksha mala, and holds his hands together with palms raised in greeting. A tall gold trident stands at left beside a gold-footed bowl on a draped table, and a stone temple-style backdrop with pillars and red arches fills the background. Appearance-based label: a person, seated on a throne and presenting himself in ritual dress.2016-12-03
