Many boys have white sacred ash or tilak marks on their foreheads and bodies, and some wear rudraksha malas. On the left, a man in a white dhoti with gold borders holds a long staff topped with a ceremonial finial and bracelets, and he is looking at a phone. Behind the line, a flag with ornate embroidery is raised on a pole, and a videographer's camera is visible. A boy at right holds small cymbals or hand bells. The scene appears to be a ritual procession with a pada puja or satsang gathering.2014-08-17Outdoor ritual gathering at an ashram courtyard with palm trees and a red wall behind. Saffron-robed sannyasis stand with hands folded in anjali mudra, and many young saffron-clad boys with shaved heads and white tilak on their foreheads stand among them. Foreground figures include a shaved-headed man in white dhoti with gold border and rudraksha mala holding a silver vessel, a man in rust-coloured robe with orange shawl and rudraksha malas, a bespectacled man in saffron robe holding a long wooden staff, and a man in saffron robe wearing a marigold and red-flower garland. No one is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance; roles are priest, sannyasis and devotees during a padapuja-style ceremony. Several dozen people are visible.2014-10-04Outdoor procession on a brick-paved path beside tropical foliage and a red wall. A crowd of devotees in saffron and orange robes, many shaved-headed with white sandalwood marks on their foreheads, stand with palms pressed together in namaskar.
