Several men in white dhotis and shirts and a woman in a maroon sari stand on the forecourt, some looking toward the inner hall where lit chandeliers and a row of painted deity figures are visible. Sandals are left on the floor near the steps. The man in a pink striped shirt and white trousers stands in the foreground facing the gate.2012-04-05Photograph of a richly painted temple gopuram-style facade in Tamil Nadu, decorated with colourful sculpted deity and attendant figures along its top. A framed painting on the facade shows a blue-skinned deity with a third eye and a consort with a crescent-topped crown, both with raised hands. A large banana-leaf arch with tender green stalks and leaves stands in front, and foliage hangs down the facade. Several people are gathered in the foreground, including a woman in a dark sari near the arch, and a young man at the left edge. Yellow signboards show Tamil text beneath the painting.2006-11-05
