A photograph taken inside a white tented hall with a plain floor and yellow-and-blue hanging drapes on the pillars. In the foreground, two women stand with palms pressed together in namaskar; the woman on the left wears a red blouse and pink-and-teal saree with gold earrings and a long braid, while the woman in the centre wears a lime-green blouse and white floral saree with gold necklace and bangles. Facing them on the right is a figure in a saffron-orange sleeveless robe with long, dark, wavy hair, whose hand is raised in a gesture toward the women. Behind them, several men in white dhotis and white shirts with yellow shoulder cloths stand in the hall, one man in white with an orange-red shawl and a shaved head among them.2010-07-07Indoor photo of a group gathered in a hall with white walls, yellow and red hanging drapes, and red chairs in the background. A young man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing a saffron-orange robe, sits at right, gesturing with one raised hand toward an older white-haired man in white kurta, who has his palms pressed together in a namaste greeting. A woman in an orange salwar kameez with gold earrings sits at left with hands folded in prayer. Behind them, a man in white kurta with a yellow shawl and red tilak stands, and a man in white with an orange-red shawl stands near a bald man in grey. The seated person wears orange robes, a multi-strand gold necklace, a red bindi and long dark hair, and is smiling while touching an orange cloth. Beside them, a bald man in orange robes and gold necklaces stands with a hand raised near his chin, and another man in an orange shawl stands behind. Ornate gold carving and decorative textiles frame the throne. The scene suggests darshan in a temple or hall setting. Appearance-based label: a person, seated on the throne with orange robes and layered gold necklaces, as a recipient of devotee reverence.2008-07-17July 25 20092009-07-25Indoor photo in a hall with pink walls, a striped red-and-white floor mat and colourful tasselled hangings. On the right, a man with long dark swept-back hair wears an orange robe and a rudraksha mala, and holds his hands in namaste toward a kneeling woman in a red shawl who holds her palms together. To the left, a woman in a blue blouse and patterned sari stands beside the kneeling devotee, while other women in white and pink stand in the background. A man in orange stands behind him, and a silver tray with fruit and offerings sits at the right edge.2011-01-22A photograph of a home-visit or pada pooja moment indoors. A seated figure in saffron-orange cloth with a white flower garland and long dark hair sits on a white-draped chair, extending his bare feet while a devotee kneels and bows to touch them. Two women in white and blue saris press their palms together nearby, and a man in white shirt and dark mala beads stands behind with one hand raised. A man in a sleeveless saffron-orange robe sits at a low table on the left, leaning forward and reaching toward a small object on the table, while a man in a white striped shirt with a name badge stands at right, facing him. Between them a woman in a pink floral blouse stands with palms pressed together in namaste. Behind them a woman in a white sari with a yellow shawl and a man in orange stand near the wall. Red and gold cushions are visible at the lower left edge. The seated man shows only ordinary priest-like attire with a shaved-looking head, so no identity cue is shown and no candidate is asserted.2009-12-12A photograph of a devotional greeting in an indoor hall with hanging orange and colourful tassel decorations.
