An outdoor procession on a paved path with colourful striped and tasselled ceremonial umbrellas overhead and a tented pavilion behind. A young man on the left wears a long dark-brown hair, a saffron-orange shawl and an orange headwrap, and walks with hands clasped. Beside him a bald man with a white beard wears a hooded saffron-orange robe and a white tilak mark, walking forward. Behind them a man in white dhoti holds a brass tray with a yellow coconut-like offering, fruit and marigold garlands on a netted basket, while other men in white kurtas and some with red lanyards follow. A bare-chested man in white dhoti walks at the right edge. Other attendants in white and a small red umbrella complete the scene.2005-01-01 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20052005-01-01 +1 copiesDecember 30th 20072007-12-30 +1 copiesApril 18 20162016-04-18A seated figure in saffron robes and an orange turban sits on a white cushioned throne on a red carpeted dais inside a decorated tent. A large fringed umbrella in pink, orange, green and blue overhead shields the seat, with a second umbrella at the right. Attendants stand around in saffron and white garments; one man in white on the left holds a tall umbrella pole, a man in saffron to the left of the throne holds a staff topped with a trident, and a man in white at right attends to a microphone stand. The figure wears a long orange garland and a bracelet, and a small vase of pink flowers sits on a white table beside the throne. The tent walls show a yellow and purple geometric textile border. Approximately eight people are visible.2007-12-30December 31 20092009-12-31December 30 20082008-12-30A photograph of saffron-robed men walking along a red carpet under a white tent with red valances and string lights.
