A man in white shirt and white dhoti with a rudraksha mala holds up folded papers with joined hands, while a woman in an orange sari with rudraksha beads stands beside him. A golden lion-headed throne armrest is in the foreground. Behind them a white canopied hall holds a crowd of seated and standing people in white and yellow clothes, with speakers and a banner visible. Photographed at close range during what appears to be a darshan or petition moment.2015-07-26A photograph of an indoor ceremony. A person with long dark hair, a white sandalwood mark on the forehead, wearing a rust-orange sleeveless garment and a garland of purple orchids, white flowers and yellow marigolds, sits on a leopard-print cushion and speaks while holding a folded white paper. A golden lion-faced seat or cushion is in the foreground. Opposite, a man in a white shirt sits with palms joined in respectful greeting beside a tall golden staff with a finial. Behind them a gold-and-red floral backdrop, a golden kalasha-like vessel and another seated devotee with rudraksha mala add to the scene.2016-01-24April 02 20162016-04-02April 02 20162016-04-02A seated man in a red-orange turban and saffron-orange dhoti-style wrap, wearing a white and jasmine garland with a green and red flower strand, leans forward on a red upholstered throne-like seat with a gold lion-head armrest. He smiles while taking a folded paper from a woman in a rust-orange sari with a dark rudraksha-style mala who holds it out. A bearded man in white with a gold-bordered cloth and a rudraksha necklace sits in the foreground, his back to the camera. Behind them a large crowd of devotees in white and bright clothing fills a tented hall with white drapes, a brass oil lamp and a standing cooler.2015-07-26A photograph of a seated man with long dark hair tied in a bun, wearing a rust-orange wrap and a long rudraksha mala with a white vibhuti marking on his forehead. He sits on a throne with golden lion-head armrests and a brown cloth draped over his lap, holding a sheet of paper that he reads. Opposite him stands a woman in a white top with a red bindi-style mark and a red thread around her neck, listening attentively. A tall silver staff with a decorative finial stands beside the throne, and a red carpet lies in the background. Swamiji candidate appearance is probable: the seated figure has long swept-back hair, a rudraksha mala and orange clothing, and is seated on a throne, so the appearance cues are present but mild.2014-09-14October 16 20162016-10-16 +1 copiesPhotograph of an evening outdoor tent event with white canopy and fans. On the left, a figure in an orange-red turban, saffron-orange garment, white and orange flower garland and a gold armband sits behind a gilded lion-headed throne armrest, extending a hand toward a seated woman. A woman in a rust-orange sari with a rudraksha mala gestures toward the seated figure. On the right, a man in a white dhoti with gold border and a rudraksha mala points a finger upward while a woman in a colourful striped sari and another woman in white attend nearby. Behind them a large crowd of devotees in white and orange clothing fills the tent under string lights, with a banner partially visible.2015-07-26April 02 20162016-04-02April 02 20162016-04-02
