Night outdoor gathering on a lawn in front of a building with lit windows, string-lit shrubs and a tree. In the foreground, a woman in a white sari with an orange-and-green border and a woman in an orange shawl sit on mats, with a small child and a man seated nearby. Beside them, a ritual setup with brass vessels, a flower-decorated offering and a yellow cloth. Facing them, a priest in white with a red sash sits before a dais draped in red, with a deity murti and garlanded items. Rows of seated people in white garments with red sashes fill the lawn. At left, a seated figure in orange and yellow garments with a red-draped table stands out, and nearby a figure in white with a red shawl sits on the grass before brass puja vessels and a yellow flower offering. Spectators in white kurtas and red shawls sit in rows, a man in a white tee with a printed image sits in front, and string lights decorate the background. A plain description beats an uncertain ritual name, so this is a seated gathering rather than a specified rite.2014-07-24December 13 20132013-12-13A photograph of an outdoor evening gathering at night. Seated rows of young boys and adults sit on mats and cloth, many wearing white dhotis and shawls with yellow borders. On the left, a figure in an orange-saffron robe with yellow trim stands near a small orange table, raising a hand toward an object held up at the top left, possibly a ritual vessel. Behind them, a standing person in white and another in orange saffron robes stand near a white board with green printed text. Women in saris and salwar kameez, some in saffron and pink, sit on chairs and mats toward the right, along with foreign-looking women and a bald man in white. Red pillars and a red wall frame the background under dim lights, with a tree and lamp posts visible.2011-10-05August 03 20142014-08-03A night-time outdoor satsang on a lawn in front of a lit hotel-style building with palm trees. Dozens of people in white clothing sit on white cloth mats in a wide circle, many with hands joined. At the right, a figure in red and gold clothing with a red head covering sits on an elevated carved wooden seat beside a tall lantern with tasselled ornamental shades. Behind the crowd is a table with flower-filled vessels and a green cloth banner. Lit lanterns stand on the grass and small sandals rest at the bottom right. The seated figure's face and build are not clear enough to confirm identity, so the figure is described by role only.2013-12-09July 24 20142014-07-24December 13 20132013-12-13Outdoor night homa at a brick fire pit on a green mat, with coloured rangoli patterns on the ground. A shaved-headed priest in orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits at the pit, pouring offerings into the flame, with a bright brass oil lamp and trays of fruit and puja items beside him. Behind him, a seated audience of roughly several dozen people in white, orange and yellow clothing faces the fire under a dark sky, with a lamp post glowing above. a person is the orange-robed figure with mala at the fire pit; the page indicates his presence, and the appearance cues are a saffron robe and rudraksha mala.2010-12-16Night outdoor puja at an ashram in front of a deity shrine with a golden backdrop showing two standing deity murtis garlanded in blue and red.
