October 15 20212021-10-15Close overhead photo of a ceremonial puja setup on the floor. A large round brass or bronze plate with a dull, tarnished surface sits on pink and magenta silk fabric with gold zari borders, with a red-and-gold brocade cloth beside it. Scattered white and yellow flower petals, a few red petals and loose white blossoms cover the cloth. Behind it stands a tall polished brass lamp stand on a brass tray, and a small brass vessel is visible at the top edge. No people are visible.2021-10-15Close photograph of a gilded wooden platform or throne base in a temple setting. A small bronze deity figurine, seated with a raised arm, stands on a pale yellow-cream cloth surface scattered with yellow flower petals and turmeric-like powder. At right, the lower draped green silk garment of a large statue or figure rests on a golden pedestal. Red fabric hangs in the upper left background.2011-10-06October 04 20142014-10-04A framed photograph lies propped against a white fabric-draped seat. It shows a bare pair of feet resting on a round silver tray filled with white flower petals, pink lotus-like blossoms, red rose petals and yellow marigold petals. A white and red garland hangs above the tray, with a red cloth draped behind it. The feet appear to be receiving padapuja offerings.1999-01-01November 10 20112011-11-10Night photograph of a floating shrine on dark water. An arched canopy of yellow, orange and red flower garlands surrounds a figure seated on a red-draped platform, with a bright white lamp-lit deity murti behind. Four men in white dhotis and a bare-chested man in a red-orange cloth stand waist-deep in the water, hands on the raft, pulling it. Reflections of red light shimmer on the surface, and dark tiered seating rises in the background. This appears to be a water procession or ritual on a temple tank.2013-11-18Four men lean over the edge of a blue-lined pool of water, dipping metal deity murtis and a golden ornamental plate into the water. On the left, a man in orange kurta with a grey beard and glasses leans in with a dark armband. Next, a bald man in a pink-cream shawl and glasses bends forward. The central figure wears a bright orange turban, orange robe, a long gold necklace and a long dark hair, leaning over the water. On the far right, a bald man in an orange robe wears a rudraksha mala and carries a yellow bag. Behind them, people in white and cream clothes stand at the edge. The water shows shimmering reflections of the metal figures.2007-09-09Two deity murtis seated side by side under a yellow-green cloth backdrop framed by an ornate gold arch. The figure on the left has dark hair, a peacock feather on a red headpiece, a gold-and-jewelled crown and a jewelled blue and gold necklace, raising one hand in blessing. The figure on the right wears a red and gold veil and red sari with gold jewellery and a red gem pendant, holding a white clay pot with a cotton wick. Both are adorned with fresh flower garlands in red, yellow, white and purple, and gold pots of offerings are placed in front.2009-12-21October 06 20112011-10-06November 19 20132013-11-19September 12 20102010-09-12
