Several boys in front wear maroon shawls with gold borders and sandalwood or vibhuti marks on their foreheads. Many men wear rudraksha-style beaded necklaces. In the foreground, shaved-headed young men and boys in saffron and maroon robes with rudraksha malas sit with white vibhuti lines on their foreheads. Behind them, many men in white kurtas and dhotis, and several in casual shirts, sit attentively, some with hands folded in namaste. A man in white kurta in the centre gestures with hands, and at the upper right the gathering extends into a backdrop of orange cloth and colourful hangings.
