Many people sit cross-legged on mats, most dressed in white, while a man in the foreground wears a pale turquoise kurta and white dhoti, seated on a low wall at the right. Toward the left, a dark statue wearing an orange garment and red headpiece stands beside a red-draped platform with a wooden seat and lamps. Several people sit in front of the platform and a white pole rises at the left edge. The scene appears to be a satsang or session held under the tree.2010-02-10 +1 copiesOutdoor satsang seated beneath a huge banyan tree with thick aerial roots and spreading limbs. Most participants wear white clothing and orange shawls or sashes over their shoulders, and several wear rudraksha malas. They sit cross-legged on mats in rows, facing away from the camera toward the tree's trunk, on bare red-brown earth. A few men at the front have white cloth or tilak marks on their foreheads. No clear individual can be confidently identified as a person from appearance in this image, so the figure is described only by role as a seated participant. Bright green foliage fills the background.2006-10-11 +1 copiesMarch 13 20132013-03-13Outdoor satsang held beneath a vast banyan tree with many aerial roots and sprawling branches.
