Silver bowls hold white flower petals, a ripe orange-red fruit, and a silver vessel. Pink and red flower garlands lie beside the feet, and ornate gold carving forms the background. The viewer sees the shoulder and hair of one partially visible person in the lower right and a partially visible person at the lower left edge. Only the feet are shown; the person to whom they belong is not visible.2010-10-09October 30 20102010-10-30 +1 copiesClose photo of a padapuja ritual. In the left foreground, bare feet in orange-saffron robes rest on a gold tray, the feet of a seated figure being worshipped. A man in a cream-gold kurta holds a small silver cup, pouring water or milk over the feet from a small brass vessel. Red and orange rose petals and flowers are scattered across the golden tray, and silver bowls of petals and a red-decorated kalasha sit at right. The setting is a temple-like room with a red cushion at upper left. The person in orange is visible only from the feet and legs, with no face or head shown.2011-11-05A close-up photo of a padapuja, a ritual washing of feet. A bare foot rests on a silver tray filled with red, pink, purple and white flowers, on a deep maroon velvet cushion over a gold-edged base. A person in an orange-saffron garment is seen at the upper left, and a hand in the upper right pours water from a gold vessel over the foot. A second gold bowl sits behind. Only the lower body, foot and pouring hands are visible, so the face of the person receiving the ritual is not shown.2009-10-18August 15 20092009-08-15November 19 20102010-11-19Close photo of padapuja: a seated figure in orange robes has bare feet placed on a silver tray filled with white and pink flowers and gold-coloured accessories.
