A seated man on a red-and-gold dais performs a ritual with a white ribbed snake-like prop held in both hands. He has long dark wavy hair, white horizontal forehead markings with a red dot, and wears a leopard-print shawl over bare shoulders, with orange-saffron cloth around his waist and legs. A wooden staff lies across his lap. Behind him are painted rocky mountain backdrop panels in ochre and blue, a microphone on a stand, and a black metal pot and white vessel sit at the left edge.2009-06-29Close-up photograph of a seated person's hand resting on a rust-orange cloth lap, wearing a beaded wrist band of red, gold and dark stones with gold trim. A slim silver staff or rod rises beside the hand. Behind is a leopard-print animal skin draped over a gold-embroidered cushion, and at right a strand of rudraksha beads and a gold-edged red garment are visible. Only a hand and arm are visible, so no face is shown and the identity of the person cannot be determined from the image.2016-09-14March 18 20132013-03-18Close-up photo of a seated figure in rust-red saffron-toned draped clothing with red trim, wearing a large gold pendant with a deity figure and a gold rudraksha-style bead necklace, a red thread bracelet on the wrist, holding a small gold-colored rectangular object or plate in both hands over the lap.
