A photograph of a round stainless steel thali tray set on a dark wooden table, holding about ten small steel katoris of rice dishes. Clockwise from the top: a brown lentil dish, plain white rice, a yellow rice with green chilies, white rice with green herbs, a rice with diced vegetables and a small white garnish, a golden tamarind-style rice, a reddish spiced rice, a vegetable rice with bay leaves and carrots, and plain white rice on the lower left. A steel cup sits in the centre. On a separate silver tray at upper left, a steel bowl holds a mixed rice dish topped with a red flower petal, beside a small steel tumbler. No people are visible. Two large round stainless steel thalis sit side by side on a wooden table against a pale wall, each divided into a ring of small steel bowls holding varieties of rice: plain white rice, lemon or tamarind rice, coconut-tinged rice, vegetable pulao with carrot and peas, and curd-style rice. A small brass cup stands at the centre of the left thali and a steel pot at the centre of the right one, with a red flower petal near each. No people are visible; the image shows prepared temple food offered as naivedyam.

A small glass of water sits in the centre with loose orange-pink flower petals scattered around it. To the right, a second smaller steel tray holds a bowl of yellow rice topped with a rose petal beside a small steel cup. No people are visible; this is a prasadam-style food offering for an ashram meal.
