Many wear rudraksha malas and white vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads and arms. Brass plates, small oil lamps, flowers and kalasha-like vessels sit on mats in front of them. Large framed portraits and banners line the walls behind, and a few onlookers in white stand near the back. Many people are visible, so the count is a crowd of over 100.2017-07-04August 22 20142014-08-22 +1 copiesA photograph of a seated ritual gathering in a bright hall with pink walls and red curtains. Many participants sit on mats in rows; several men in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas and forehead markings lead the worship, some holding brass dishes, small lamps and kumkum. Men and women in white and cream clothing with yellow and red borders hold lit oil lamps and offering trays. A cropped foreground figure in white reaches out with a brass plate of flowers and sweets, and a central plate holds red offerings. Plastic chairs stand at the left edge. The scene resembles a padapuja and satsang gathering.2011-06-05
