January 22 20102010-01-22January 22 20102010-01-22Interior of a thatched-roof exhibition hall with glass display cabinets filled with framed photographs, CDs, books and small objects. A woman in orange sari with a red-and-white flower garland stands at the central display and gestures toward the cabinets. Around her, several men in white shirts and dhotis and a woman in orange clothing stand and watch, while a man in the foreground holds a video camera on a tripod. A framed portrait of a smiling bearded man hangs high on the right wall beside a Tamil-language banner, and a small sign is mounted on the wall.2010-01-22December 20 20062006-12-20Interior of a small shop-like gallery with a corrugated roof, cream block walls and lattice windows, showing aisles of display racks holding framed photographs, booklets and cards. In the centre, a woman in an orange sari stands smiling beside the racks, and behind her an elderly man with white hair and a white beard, bare-chested with a white dhoti and a sacred thread, stands near a second woman in a pale grey sari photographing the displays. On the left, a life-size seated statue in orange robes and an orange head wrap holds an open blue book. Strings of tinsel and a garland of white flowers hang near the statue. The red floor and the orange clothing dominate the scene. The woman in orange is not clearly identifiable as a specific individual from appearance cues alone.2006-07-25A photograph inside a small shop with white block walls and a metal roof, lined with wall racks and shelves of framed pictures and CD cases showing portraits of a long-haired figure in orange and white clothing. In the foreground a bare-backed person in a white dhoti with a green border stands with their back to the camera. To the right, a person in an orange robe with a long dark rudraksha mala pauses and points at a rack, with a white flower arrangement beside them. The shelves hold many framed prints and disc cases.2006-07-25Indoor photo of a bookshop or gallery with a cream block wall and orange-trimmed display racks holding many framed prints and CD/DVD-style cases, most showing saffron-robed figures with white or orange turbans and rudraksha malas. On the right, a person in an orange-saffron robe with a long rudraksha mala stands and looks toward two visitors at left: an older person with grey hair in a white garment and a woman with dark hair in a white top with a shoulder bag, seen from behind. Several more racks of covers stretch along the back wall. The cover images are depictions, not physical people; the physical people count is three.2006-07-25February 08 20102010-02-08Interior photo of a small bookshop stall with pale walls, a lattice window and racks of books and framed prints. A man in an orange robe with long dark hair and a beaded necklace stands behind the counter. Beside him an older man in a white dhoti, bare-chested and wearing a rudraksha mala, stands near the shelves. A woman in a white top with a bag is seen from behind at the left edge. A red and gold tassel hangs from the ceiling.2006-07-25January 31 20072007-01-31December 20 20062006-12-20Interior of a small gallery shop with cream-coloured display racks holding rows of framed photos and postcards in plastic sleeves.
