In the centre, a smiling figure with long dark hair, a red-and-gold dhoti, a red garland, a gold necklace and a tilak walks with hands held together in greeting, flanked by saffron-clad attendants carrying a ceremonial staff. Behind them, orange-robed young men with sacred ash markings play long brass horns and drums, and a bald man in red robes and rudraksha malas walks at the front. A white-clad man stands at the left edge. A ceremonial palanquin-style standard and trident-like staffs are visible in the background.2015-04-21A smiling man with long swept-back dark hair, white vibhuti lines and a red kumkum dot on his forehead walks forward in a rust-brown shawl over a yellow undergarment. He wears a heavy rudraksha mala with large gold bead ornaments and a gold hoop earring. The man in front wears a gold-and-bead garland and a rust-brown dhoti with yellow borders, with gold bangles on his wrists. Beside him a bald man with a white forehead band and a rudraksha mala wears a rust-brown robe, and a young boy behind wears orange robes. Other attendants in orange and maroon robes follow, and a drummer with a large drum appears at the right edge. The setting is a campus with a football goal and green lawns. Two candidates for the front-walking figure are plausible from appearance alone, so identity is uncertain.2013-05-28
