A busy street in a coastal Tamil Nadu town on a cloudy day. A white van with a roof rack leads a line of traffic, followed by motorcycles and a flatbed truck. Two men ride motorcycles in the middle lane, one wearing a dark shirt and the other a light shirt. Pedestrians walk along the sidewalks, and a man in a lungi stands at left. Shopfronts display painted signs, including one reading Cape Hotel, and billboards with pictures on the right. Two yellow auto-rickshaws sit at the right edge. Power lines and streetlights run overhead, with trees lining the far road.2006-10-27September 25 20062006-09-25July 08 20122012-07-08 +1 copiesOctober 20 20062006-10-20A busy street in a South Indian town with a wide paved road running through the centre. Pedestrians walk across the road, including a man in a white dhoti and a woman in a green sari. Several black motorcycles are parked on the right beside a row of shops, and yellow auto-rickshaws sit on the left. A white minibus stands in the middle distance. Tall trees line the left side, and utility poles with overhead wires run along the road. A large billboard on the right shows portraits of men, though the figures are too small to judge clearly. Power lines and a low hill appear in the distance under an overcast sky.2012-05-09 +1 copiesA wet, rain-slicked town street in Tamil Nadu with shops on both sides, blue and white storefronts, a tall gopuram temple tower with painted sculpted figures on the upper right, and a white van and a white hatchback car in the foreground. Yellow auto-rickshaws and a few cyclists travel down the road, and several pedestrians stand or walk along the left sidewalk, some in white dhotis and saris. Hanging signboards and banners in Tamil script line the street under overhead power lines and a cloudy grey sky.
