A seated man with long dreadlocked hair, a beard, a white sandalwood mark on his forehead, a white flower garland and gold ornaments, wearing rust-orange cloth and a gold bangle, raises a hand toward a young man kneeling with palms pressed together in namaste. The young man is bare-chested with a gold necklace and white dhoti. A woman in a rust-red sari and dark beaded necklace holds a stack of folded orange cloths. A ceremonial silver staff stands between them, and a white fan is in the foreground. Two other people are partly visible at the edges, and gold-patterned panels and a brass lamp line the background.2017-04-30 +1 copiesNovember 08 20162016-11-08May 09 20172017-05-09Photograph of a ceremony at an outdoor red-stepped amphitheatre. A man seated on a golden throne with red cushions, bare-chested, wearing a red-and-gold garment, a multi-strand beaded necklace, gold armbands and a peacock-feather headdress, holds a silver staff. Beside him a younger bare-chested attendant in white and gold dhoti reaches forward to offer folded orange cloths. Several women in white saris with rudraksha malas stand nearby, and a woman in white kneels at the golden tray. Spectators are seated in the background on tiered steps. The seated figure has long hair and distinctive ceremonial adornments, which is a person appearance cue in a role of presiding devotee-honoured guest.2017-08-14A photograph of a ceremonial gathering in a gold-decorated hall. A man with long dreadlocks, a white vertical tilak on his forehead, a white and gold flower garland, a gold necklace, a gold earring and beaded bracelets sits on a gold-trimmed seat, holding a silver trident-staff in one hand. He wears a rust-brown and gold cloth. Beside him a bare-chested young man with a rudraksha mala and a dark beaded necklace offers a folded saffron-orange cloth with both hands. Other devotees in orange and maroon garments sit nearby, and a white pedestal fan and gold-framed carvings fill the background.2017-04-30 +1 copiesA ceremonial scene in a temple-style hall. A seated man on a gold-and-red throne, wearing a saffron-orange robe, rudraksha mala and ceremonial garlands, has a red fruit in his hand. A young man in white dhoti kneels before him, placing a garland or offering at his neck. A shirtless man in a white dhoti and rudraksha mala stands at left, and another in white dhoti kneels nearby with arm bands. A cameraman films from behind. A silver spear and a brass trident stand beside the throne, a decorated umbrella rises at left, and marigold garlands drape a golden deity murti at the upper right. The seated man has long swept-back hair and a full beard, with distinctive saffron clothing and rudraksha cues, so this is a person appearance-based candidate, while the scene is a puja-style darshan.2016-11-04May 09 20172017-05-09April 24 20132013-04-24Outdoor festival scene at a stepped red-tiered amphitheatre.
