In front of him, a bare foot in a rust-red robe rests on a gold-embossed footstool heaped with pink and white flowers, while the seated figure's red-orange robe and red cushions are visible behind. This is a padapuja-style foot-worship scene at a naming ceremony.2017-04-17May 10 20182018-05-10 +1 copiesApril 17 20172017-04-17July 15 20112011-07-15A devotee in an orange saffron cloth with red border and rudraksha mala kneels bare-chested, forehead bowed, touching the feet of a seated figure on an ornate golden throne. The seated figure wears a red-orange silk garment with gold border and a garland of pink and white flowers, and bare feet with a beaded anklet. Heaped white rice and flower petals cover the golden platform in front. Behind, a man in white dhoti with gold border stands with an outstretched hand. The scene resembles a padapuja-style honouring at the feet of a guru. The seated figure's identity is not established by visible cues.2015-07-31July 12 20162016-07-12September 05 20152015-09-05January 06 20132013-01-06May 03 20142014-05-03A photograph of a padapuja ceremony on an ornate golden throne draped with a striped tiger-skin cloth. A seated figure in a rust-red robe, garlanded with white and pink flowers, sits with a gold crown and a trident-tipped staff beside him. Before him, a man in a pale peach kurta with a red shawl kneels and washes the seated figure's feet in a large orange-rimmed basin, adding leaves and petals. Elderly women in white and orange saris, and a woman in an orange sari at the lower left, watch nearby. Gold throne carvings and a red canopy frame the scene. The seated figure is an appearance-based probable Swamiji, identified by crown, garland and ornate gold necklaces on a throne during padapuja.2016-05-24
