Stage photograph at a Nithyananda Peetham event. A standing man in an orange-saffron turban and rust-orange robe, with long swept-back hair, a beard, a pink-and-white flower garland and a gold-toned neck ornament, presses his palms together in a greeting. Two white-and-gold dhoti-clad assistants are at the front; one kneels with bare upper body near a video camera on a tripod. Behind them stand brass lamps, a white cooler, and wooden lattice panels hung with red-and-yellow flower garlands. A multicoloured woven cloth covers the stage floor, with white flower heaps at left.2017-03-11Photo 11699009 +1 copiesMarch 11 20172017-03-11March 11 20172017-03-11A man in a rust-red turban and matching rust-red dhoti with gold border stands barefoot on a striped multicolour rug, palms pressed together in namaste, eyes closed and smiling. A pink and white flower garland hangs over his shoulders and he wears a rudraksha-style mala and gold-toned ornaments. Beside him is a white portable cooler fan, and behind him is a wooden lattice wall hung with red and white flower strings. To the left stands an ornate gold throne with a deity murti and a trident-like staff. The scene looks like a stage or dais set up inside a tent.2017-03-11December 23 20162016-12-23December 14 20162016-12-14March 11 20172017-03-11A bearded man in a rust-brown draped robe stands barefoot on a striped woven mat on a stage, raising both palms in greeting and smiling. A long dark rudraksha-style mala hangs around his neck, with a red thread on his wrist and a dark forehead mark. Behind him is a gold ornate throne chair with a red cushion, and a golden deity murti with a pale face and crown sits beside a gold-framed backdrop with a gold canopy and green foliage. A red velvet footstool, brass lamp stand, potted plant, pedestal fan and white cooler are on the stage, with red drapes behind.2017-02-13December 17 20162016-12-17A man in a saffron-red dhoti and sleeveless red top with gold armlets stands at a gilded throne on a stage, wearing a black turban, layered gold necklaces and a multicolour marigold garland. He steps onto a gilded footstool while an attendant in white dhoti, red-bordered shawl, rudraksha mala and white forehead tilak extends his hand toward him. A red throne cushion with a tiger-print cover sits beside him, with a red sheet and flower petals at the foreground.2016-05-20Night photograph of an outdoor ashram courtyard lit by a bright floodlight. A tall figure with long dark hair falls down the back, wearing a rust-brown dhoti and a pink-and-white floral garland, walks barefoot away from the camera across a red-and-cream striped mat toward a golden arched gateway. A cameraman in an orange garment stands behind a black tripod-mounted video camera, his hair in a topknot. On the left, several seated devotees in white and orange sit on the mat, and a person in a yellow sari stands near the arch. Colourful painted banners with deity figures hang on the white pillars at right. The image is plausibly from a person event, but the walking figure's identity cannot be confirmed from appearance.2018-05-24
